  • Patent number: 10952918
Abstract: The present invention relates to devices and methods for assisting breathing in a subject. In one embodiment, the device of the present invention is a splint that can be used to apply negative distending pressure, i.e., outward pull, to one or both of the chest walls and/or the abdomen of a subject. In certain embodiments, the splint comprises an air bladder that can be attached to the skin of the subject's chest and/or abdomen. When the air bladder is inflated, negative distending pressure is applied to the subject's chest and/or abdomen, thereby assisting or promoting respiration. In another embodiment, the splint comprises a piezoelectric material that when activated can provide negative distending pressure to the subject's chest and/or abdomen. In another embodiment, the subject is a neonate. In another embodiment, the inflated air bladder can apply a compressive force on the chest to facilitate expiration, and the removal of secretions in the airways.

  • Patent number: 10952921
Abstract: A massage device has a position adjustable handle along a handle slot that extends along a portion of the cane support. The cane support has a support extension portion, or the long substantially linear portion, an arc portion that extends from the support extension in an arc or cure and a head portion. The handle slot may extend a portion of the length of the cane support and along the support extension to the head portion. A vibration device is coupled to the head end of the cane support and may be decoupled from the cane support by a vibration dampening material that extends around the vibration device within a chamber. The vibration dampening material extend out to form a locking ring between the vibration assembly and the massage head. A user can comfortably hold the massage head against their body without excessive vibration in the cane support or handle.

  • Patent number: 10940082
Abstract: A person's sleep disorders are resolved by applying low frequency vibration. Mechanical vibrators (1) present on a first side of a plate type base member (9) set the plate type base member (9) in vibration in such a way that its second surface transmits mechanical vibration. A plurality of first low frequency pulse trains (100; 101, 102, 103 . . . ) of mechanical vibration are conducted to a part of the person's body, at successive time periods (T; T1, T2, T3 . . . ). A frequency (f) of vibration in each individual pulse train (100) is maintained constant (f; fa, fb, fc . . . ) within the range of 20-50 Hz. The pressure pulses (400) of said pulse train (100) have a contact power (I) with said part of the body within the range of 40-70 dB. The constant frequencies (fa, fb, fc . . . ) of the successive pulse trains (100; 101, 102, 103 . . . ) are mutually different and change monotonously and mostly linearly. At least one second pulse train (100) is transmitted to said part of the body.

Abstract: A wearable massager includes a plurality of attachments, each of which is designed for a specific body part. Each attachment includes at least one massaging module on an inner surface that is either formed of mechanical rollers that simulate a massage as they are moved vertically and horizontally, or a plurality of contiguous, inflatable bladders that simulate a massage as they are inflated and rapidly deflated. A controller allows a user to vary the speed and intensity with which the rollers are moved horizontally and vertically, or the level, order and frequency in which each bladder is inflated and deflated. Accordingly, the continuous movement of the rollers or inflation and deflation of the bladders against the wearer's skin simulates the typical movements of a massage therapist's hands and fingers.
