  • Patent number: 6810967
Abstract: A grass and soil trimming system comprises a motor driven yard tool. The tool has a housing in a generally cylindrical configuration with a periphery and a female threaded interior and an interior locking screw. The female threaded interior of the mounting screw is adapted to screwably couple to a male thread of a drive shaft on the tool. A first pair of metal cutting blades is coupled to the periphery. The blades are adapted to cut and dig soil. The blades have a generally triangular configuration. A second pair of metal cutting blades is coupled to the periphery. • Patent number: 6709195
Abstract: A moveable tailpiece for use in association with a slip form on a curb forming machine. The tailpiece is selectively rotatable from a parked position, away from the slip form, to an engaged position at the end of the slip form. The tailpiece has the profile corresponding to a lowered curb profile as required to form, for example, a driveway access or handicap ramps. Utilizing the tailpiece in a curb formation considerably reduces the amount of manual finishing work required to produce an acceptable curb.

  • Patent number: 6698115
Abstract: A clearing chain is mounted on a mobile track maintenance machine for excavating ballast material from a track bed. The chain is composed of shovel-type clearing members for gathering the ballast and intermediate chain elements positioned between the adjacent clearing members and connected thereto by means of chain joints, thus forming an endless chain. Each intermediate chain element comprises two chain joints spaced from one another in the longitudinal direction of the clearing chain. The chain joints are designed for receiving a hinge pin articulatedly mounted in the joint and releasably fastened to the clearing member.
