  • Patent number: 11269573
Abstract: A policy-based system is implemented to allow access to a private domain to print using a public domain. The private domain includes private servers that store documents. The public domain includes servers and a printing device. A public policy server uses a domain list and a protocol connection with a private authentication server to validate a user and identify which private domain to access. The public policy server receives requests from the printing device to process a print job of a document in the private domain. The policy-based system also determines whether printing operations may occur in a public printing service. A public print server determines whether to allow printing for a user in an organization.

  • Patent number: 11262957
Abstract: A cloud-based server and a port monitor on a device provide authentication of a user to access print jobs on the server. An application may print or perform other operations from the cloud-based server to a printing device. The port monitor uploads data for a document to the cloud-based server. Once the data for the document is uploaded, a claim code is generated by the cloud-based server. The port monitor receives the claim code. The port monitor initiates the launch of a browser having a uniform resource locator (URL) address for the server along with the claim code. The user is authenticated using a login page and the claim code associated to the user to allow access to the document on the server.

  • Patent number: 11256453
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to retargeting online advertisement campaign recommendations for advertisements with multiple items or services. Bids may be based on a combined advertisement creative comprising two or more items or services. Dynamically selecting multiple items at bid time using a retargeting model to determine a potential revenue generation amount associated with an event may increase the probability of a conversion event based on the creative that includes the selected items. In some embodiments, a machine-learned retargeting model may be used to select multiple items to be displayed in an advertisement. The retargeting model may be applied to items that were previously viewed by the consumer and may determine a value for each of the items using factors. A bid may be calculated for each of the selected items using the values determined by the retargeting model.

  • Patent number: 11228689
Abstract: A routine processing device includes a processor. In routine processing, an application parameter that defines an operation of an application and a system parameter that defines an operation of a system that is an environment where the application is executed are registered. The processor is configured to, if the system parameter at a time of the registration and a system parameter set in the system at a time when the routine processing is to be executed do not match, change the system parameter at the time of the registration in the routine processing to the system parameter set in the system at the time when the routine processing is to be executed.

  • Patent number: 11228694
Abstract: A printing device is implemented to activate a hidden function by inputting tap sequences on a tap screen. The hidden function includes displaying an icon of a title of a secret document on a display screen without showing the content of the secret document. A method for activating the hidden function using tap sequences is also disclosed. The method compares the input tap sequences with a plurality sets of predetermined codes, each of which corresponds to a hidden function. When the input tap sequences match one set of predetermined codes, the method activates and executes the hidden function. By executing the hidden function, the secret document is printed. The tap sequences are tapping actions that do not generate tangible symbols that are reviewable on the tap screen. By doing so, the confidential document is further protected.

  • Patent number: 11223736
Abstract: In a printing system capable of supplying a sheet of a job having undergone print processing by the printing unit of a printing apparatus to a post-processing unit capable of executing at least a specific type of post-processing among a plurality of types of post-processes, when the target job requires the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is inhibited from executing print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by a user using a user interface unit. When the target job does not require the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is permitted to execute print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by the user using the user interface unit.

  • Patent number: 11210039
Abstract: A policy-based printing system is implemented to allow access to a private domain to print using a public domain. The private domain includes private servers that store documents. The public domain includes servers and a printing device. A public policy server uses a domain list and a protocol connection with a private authentication server to validate a user and identify which private domain to access. The public policy server retrieves a policy from a private policy server that configures the parameters for printing using the public domain. The print job data is provided to a public file server until the public policy server confirms that the print job can be sent to the printing device. The status of the document is set after the identification of potential confidential information so that it may not be printed in the public domain.

  • Patent number: 11210061
Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing computer-readable instructions may be read by a controller of an information processing device in which an image processing program and a voice-recognition program have been installed. The computer-readable instructions may cause the information processing device to obtain the text data from the voice-recognition program in a case where the voice-recognition program creates the text data. The computer-readable instructions may cause the information processing device to determine whether the obtained text data includes a first string and a second string. The computer-readable instructions may cause the information processing device to cause a display of the information processing device to display a specific image in a case where it is determined that the text data includes the first string and the second string.
