Abstract: Apparatus for unrolling rolls of building insulation in vertical strips from the roof eave down, and adapted to be carried by an aerial work platform that in turn is carried by an elevator, has a pair of spars as well as an arbor and a tensioning control mechanism. The spars are spaced apart and are mounted to as well as project away from the aerial work platform. The arbor is carried between the spaced spars for inserting through the core of a role of insulation and allowing the insulation to be unrolled from the roll in the form of strips to be hung on the building. The tensioning control mechanism is provided for controlling the unrolling of the roll.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the present disclosure include a structural attachment system for easily and quickly erecting a structure. The structural attachment system may include a hollow tube unit having at least one T-slot positioned between a pair of square slots configured to engage with a unit connector. The unit connector may include a T-unit sandwiched between a pair of composition units and a pair of locking plates. The T-unit may have a first unit T-tab configured to engage with the T-slot on the hollow tube unit, and the locking plates may engage with the square slots, resulting in the unit connector being slidably fastened to the hollow tube unit. Paneling may also be attached to the hollow tube unit to create walls, a roof, and flooring.

Abstract: A prefabricated, modular enclosure comprising a plurality of plastic foam EPS components forming an integrated structure characterized by energy efficiency and ease of assembly. Wall panels, window panels, door panels, gable panels and roofing panels may be custom configured and glued together, utilizing adaptors on their sides and corner assemblies at intersections. The panels include major and minor channel struts that longitudinally penetrate the panel bodies, snugly lodging within receptive slots. The struts do not contact each other, and no portions of the struts traverses the panel thickness from inside to outside, thus minimizing thermal loss pathways. The wider, major reinforcement struts have offset portions spaced from interior panel surfaces that project interiorly of the enclosure and form a rigid mounting for interior finishing. The chase defined between the modular panels and the interior wall finishing, afforded by the offset struts, may house plumbing, wiring or the like.

Abstract: An insulation system for coupling to a building substrate comprising a plurality of insulation panels, bracket members and splice members. Each insulation panel includes a longitudinal slot. Each bracket member is formed from a polymer and includes an elongated body having a body wall, a first end wall and a second end wall. Upper and lower ribs extend from the body wall and are structurally configured to extend into the longitudinal slot of each of the plurality of insulation panels, and to elastically deform the longitudinal slot so as to effectively seal along a length thereof, defining a vapor barrier. A similar structure is on each splice member. The bracket members are positioned in a spaced apart relationship with insulation panels therebetween. The upper and lower ribs extend into corresponding ones of the longitudinal slots of the insulation panels, with splice members extending between adjacent adjacently abutting insulation panels.

Abstract: A utility kit for use in combination with a plastic construction block used for storage of water, food, medicine, staples, construction materials, or any other item that needs to be contained for storage and shipping. The utility kit includes a fire grate and utility receptacles to allow for cooking of water and food. Upon emptying of the construction block, the construction block can be used in the construction of a bunker, wall, or the like structure through conventional building construction by filling of the block with sand or dirt. The utility receptacles can be used to reinforce the construction block as well as provide sealing for half blocks. The fire grate can be dismantled and the anchoring pipes can operate to anchor construction blocks together during construction.

Abstract: Expandable shelters having a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system arranged to receive outside air away from a mechanical compartment are disclosed. The expandable shelters may comprise an air inlet vent disposed in a front of the expandable shelter interconnected to an in-floor air duct arranged to draw outside air below an interior floor and exchange heat with the coolest area of the expandable shelter. By virtue of having an air inlet vent receive outside air from a location substantially away from the mechanical compartment and exchange heat with the coolest area of the expandable shelter, an environmental control unit (ECU), housed in the mechanical compartment, receives relatively cool outside air, keeping air temperatures inside the mechanical compartment below the upper operating limit of the ECU.

The apparatus includes a rectangular shaped web having first and second opposing sides. The web bridges between two adjacent floor joists and is perpendicular to the adjacent floor joists. A beam is located a predetermined distance from the first side and is parallel to the first side. The beam and the first side form a pocket for receiving a portion of a floor joist. A channel is formed in the second side for receiving a beam from another substantially identical web so that the two webs may be interlocked. The web includes a central portion having a plurality of openings therein for receiving elongated utility conduits.
