Abstract: A reduced length crossbow with a trigger located near a midpoint of the crossbow and a small included angle of the draw string when in the drawing configuration that creates a space between the draw string and the user's face. The included angle of the draw string when in the drawing configuration may be less than about 25 degrees. The trigger is typically located proximate the midpoint within about 10% of the overall length of the crossbow.

Abstract: An archery bow comprises a riser, two limbs with a bow string coupled between them, and an arrow rest comprising: a body coupled with the riser via a mount; a first arm having a rotatable shaft extending from the body; a tab extending radially from the rotatable shaft; a second arm having a second rotatable shaft extending from the body and coupled by gearing to the rotatable shaft; a second tab extending radially from the second rotatable shaft; and a drive mechanism. The tab has a recess. The second tab has a second recess. In an encapturing configuration, the recesses form an aperture to encapture an arrow shaft when portions of the tabs are substantially in plane. In a discharge configuration the aperture releases the arrow shaft when the portions are substantially parallel. The drive mechanism rotates the first and second arms from the encapturing configuration to the discharge configuration.

Abstract: A mix or match toy set is disclosed wherein an airplane toy can be converted into several differently shaped units. The units are held together by using magnets in male and female connectors. The unit has interchangeable cockpit fuselage sections, jet, propeller, and fuel tank magnetic attachments and interchangeable airplane tails.

Abstract: Embodiments provide a lacrosse head with an enhanced pocket channel and sweet spot. The head includes first and second tabs protruding rearwardly from the rearward face of the transverse wall, with the transverse wall defining at least one inner pocket member opening disposed between first and second outer pocket member openings on the respective tabs. A first rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the first tab, a second rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the at least one inner pocket member opening, and a third rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the second tab may lie on an arc shape that is more curved than the curved shape of the transverse wall, to provide a cylindrically-shaped pocket channel. Each sidewall may have a rearward lower edge portion that extends generally parallel to the horizontal centerline and an intermediate lower edge portion that rapidly descends to a lowest point, to enhance the sweet spot of the head.

Abstract: A hockey puck is disclosed including an internal signal transmitter enabling instantaneous identification of its position as it moves around. The puck includes two molded subcomponents, which encapsulate the signal transmitter. The signal transmitter includes driver electronics and a number of signal transmitters which together generate and emit an electromagnetic signal. The electromagnetic signal is emitted by a plurality of diodes mounted in cavities in the subcomponents, for example around an outer circumference of the hockey puck and through a top and bottom surfaces of the hockey puck. The puck is alternatively formed of a material that allows electromagnetic radiation to be emitted through the subcomponents, and the diode cavities omitted.

Abstract: A training system for developing tackle technique and tackle follow-up technique at a range of heights in contact sports, especially American football, comprises a first padded tackling training apparatus for targeted training of tackle technique tackle follow-up technique at a first level corresponding to a relatively low body height, a second padded tackling training apparatus for targeted training of tackle technique and tackle follow-up technique at a second level corresponding to a medial body height; and a third padded tackling training apparatus for targeted training of tackle technique and tackle follow-up technique at a third level corresponding a relatively high body height facilitates coaching of improved technique for tackling and follow-up technique in contact sports, particularly in American football.

Abstract: A reusable shooting target or target system may include multiple rotary targets each having a target plate section having a bottom end, a top end, a front end, and a back end, and a pivot section. The target may include crossbars having a first end, a body portion, and a second end, front legs and back legs. The pivot section of each rotary target is fixedly or removably attached to the body section of one of the crossbars such that the target plate section of the rotary target is positioned below the crossbar to which the pivot section is attached. The pivot section of each rotary target and the crossbar to which the pivot section is attached are together adapted such that when hit with a bullet the rotary target spins around an axis aligned with the respective crossbar to which the rotary target is attached.

Abstract: A modular block toy and kit that includes a male cubic unit piece having a plurality of faces with a male node extending from each respective face of the plurality of faces, and a female piece having a plurality of faces and corners formed by three intersecting faces, the female piece having a female component formed on a respective face of each of the plurality of faces that is sized and shaped to receive a respective male node enabling connection using any side of the female piece and any side of the male piece, and in which all sides of the female pieces and the male cubic unit pieces with a snapping and interlock design are identical, enabling the pieces to be snapped together using any side of the female or male piece to achieve build out indefinitely in any direction.

Abstract: A foldable basketball stand has at least one first hoop on a rear end surface of a backboard on an upper half portion of a front frame. A middle portion of first left/right rod of the front frame has two first left/right joints respectively. One end and the other end of left top/bottom rod of a left frame are connected to a left-rear rod/the first left rod respectively. One end and the other end of right top/bottom rod of a right frame are connected to a right-rear rod/the first right rod respectively. A middle portion of left/right rear rod has first/second rear joints respectively. An upper half portion of a rear frame has a stop portion. Left/right sides of the rear frame are connected to left/right rear rods through left/right connecting rods respectively.

Abstract: Various archery bows with abutting limb support are shown. One bow includes a riser that has a handle portion and first and second riser portions extending from the handle portion. The first riser portion has multiple limb contact surfaces that are spaced apart. The bow also has a first limb with a proximal end portion that has multiple external surfaces that abut and are articulable relative to the limb contact surfaces. This first limb is free-floating against the first riser portion. A second limb and a bowstring are connected to the bow as well. Tension in the bowstring is transferred to the first and second limbs. Limbs such as the first limb store energy across more of the length of the limb, have less concentrated stresses, and can be supported and dampened close to the proximal end of the limb.

Abstract: A shooting target assembly includes a balance bar having a center portion that is rotatably connected to a support, a first target assembly rotatably connected to a first end of the balance bar at a first pivot point, and a second target assembly rotatably connected to a second end of the balance bar at a second pivot point. The first target assembly includes a plurality of first target zones, the second target assembly includes a plurality of second target zones, each of the first target zones and each of the second target zones is configured to engage one or more targets, and the balance bar is configured to rotate about the center portion in response to one or more of the targets being broken.

Abstract: A portable sports practice net includes a frame with a base to which removable vertical poles having top side bar supports, such as T-units or L-units, are joined holds a net to create an opening, such as a goal opening. The top side bar supports have a unique shape and extend horizontally from the top of the vertical poles in a manner that reduces the weight placed on the net fabric hung between the vertical poles and creates a goal pocket depth with need for additional vertical posts. Or, the tops of the vertical posts are joined to T-units or L-units, with each T-unit or L-unit having a horizontal bar slidably engaged thereto to create the goal opening depth. Each vertical post creates a pivot point at its bottom end, such that each vertical post is urged apart from the other post to create tension or leverage between the opposite top side bar supports or T-units or L-units, thus creating a net opening with a more realistic goal shape and reducing sag at the top edge.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a bow and a method for reducing torque. An exemplary bow includes a riser having a pair of limbs having a string assembly operably coupled to each one of the pair of limbs, the riser with the pair of limbs operable to maintain a tension in the string assembly. The bow further includes a handle, the handle having a ball joint maintained in the handle operable to rotate relative to the handle, wherein the handle is rotatably affixed to the riser at the ball joint free floating bow including a riser having two ends, and a pair of limbs, each extending from one end of the riser.

Abstract: A system for teaching a catcher the proper form for the traditional blocking position comprising a wrist strap, a wrist-to-facemask adjustable tether, a retractable tether, an automatic tether retraction system, a release trigger system, and a leg attachment component. The wrist-to-facemask adjustable tether is detachably engaged to the wrist strap as is the retractable tether. The automatic tether retraction system is mechanically engaged to the retractable tether, and is configured to automatically retract and spool the retractable tether. The release trigger system is mechanically engaged to the retractable tether, and is configured to, at least in part, lock and prevent any extension of the spooled retractable tether.

Abstract: The present invention provides for a plurality of interconnectable modular members that may create a pathway system with multiple entrances into the upper portion of each member and at least one exit from the lower portion of each member, thereby providing for a variety of convergence and divergence possibilities. The pathway system is suitable for receiving and transporting marbles and other spherical objects from one member to another. The modular members may be interlinked via male/female connectors to create a variety of configurations.

Abstract: A crossbow including first and second flexible limbs attached to a center rail. A first cam is mounted to the first bow limb and rotatable around a first axis. A draw string is received in string guide journals and is secured to first and second cams. The draw string unwinds from the string guide journals as it translates from a released configuration to a drawn configuration. Power cables are received in first and second power cable take-up journals on each of the first and second cams. As the crossbow is drawn from the released configuration to the drawn configuration the first and second power cables wrap onto the respective first and second power cable take-up journals and are displaced along the first and second axes away from the first and second planes of rotation of the first and second draw string journals.

Abstract: The present application relates to a device for displaying a panel having an outer structure having a display opening; an inner member rotatably mounted within the outer structure; and a plurality of panels rotatably mounted to the inner member, each of the plurality of panels including a first side and an opposite second side. The inner member is rotatable about a first axis with respect to the outer structure to move one of the plurality of panels into registry with the display opening; and each of the plurality of panels is rotatable about a second axis with respect to the inner member to display the first side or the second side through the display opening in the outer structure.
