  • Patent number: 10209028
Abstract: A crossbow having a string below the barrel and an arrow rest on top of the barrel. The carriage rides in a track along the length of the barrel. A bottom side of the carriage contacts the string. The upper side of the carriage extends through the upper edge of the barrel and contacts the nock at the aft end of the arrow. The string does not contact the barrel. The string, at about a midpoint, contacts the lower side of the carriage. The string does not rub on the barrel of the crossbow so energy loss and friction damage to the string are avoided.

  • Patent number: 10209026
Abstract: A crossbow including a frame with a riser and a center rail. First and second flexible limbs are attached to the riser. A draw string is received in string guide journals in first and second cams rotatably attached to the frame. The draw string unwinds from the string guide journals as it translates between a released configuration and a drawn configuration. The first and second cams include at least first and second power cable take-up journals, respectively. At least first and second power cables are attached to the first and second limbs and received in the first and second power cable take-up journals, respectively. As the crossbow is drawn from the released configuration to the drawn configuration the first and second power cables wrap onto the respective first and second power cable take-up journals.

  • Patent number: 10156418
Abstract: A drop-away arrow rest for an archery bow is provided that utilizes a torque transfer system to transfer a rotational motion from an actuation element to a launcher configured to support the shaft of an arrow when the launcher is in an up position. The rotational motion causes the launcher to rotate from an up position to a down position while the archery bow is shot. After the arrow has cleared the launcher, the arrow rest described herein is configured to automatically return to the up position.

  • Patent number: 10126088
Abstract: A crossbow including first and second flexible limbs are attached to a center rail. A draw string extends across the center rail that translates between a released configuration and a drawn configuration. A string carrier including a catch is movable between a closed position that engages the draw string and an open position that releases the draw string. The string carrier slides along the center rail to engage with the draw string in the released configuration and slides to a retracted position that locates the draw string in the drawn configuration. A retaining mechanism retains the string carrier in the retracted position and the draw string in the drawn configuration. A trigger moves the catch from the closed position to the open position to fire the crossbow when the string carrier is in the retracted position.

  • Patent number: 10124228
Abstract: The football tackling training sled is a device that is used to train football players how to tackle during a football practice. The football tackling training sled is further defined with a backbone support that is attached to a base member via a spring-loaded counter hinge. The backbone support is encapsulated with a padding so as to be impacted via a user. The backbone support rests at an obtuse angle with respect to the base member. The backbone support includes a track, which interfaces with a floating t-bar. The user impacts the backbone support with a lateral force while the user drives the floating t-bar upwardly and along the track.

  • Patent number: 10086307
Abstract: The present invention provides a fishing toy comprising a bait head resembling a fishing lure attached to a sponge resembling an aquatic animal. The sponge is initially compressed and rolled such that it fits inside a dissolving gel capsule or paper pouch encapsulation. During play, the entire bait unit is submerged into water. Once exposed to water, the capsule dissolves, releasing the captive animal-shaped sponge. The increase of weight and drag on the line simulates a live fishing experience.

  • Patent number: 10082359
Abstract: A torque control system for cocking a crossbow. A cocking mechanism includes a rotating member mounted to the center rail and coupled to a flexible tension member attached to a string carrier. A cocking handle is configured to engage with the rotating member to cock the crossbow. A torque control mechanism limits output torque applied to the rotating member such that rotating the cocking handle after the string carrier is in the retracted position does not move the draw string past the drawn configuration.

  • Patent number: 10066895
Abstract: A compound archery bow comprises a riser, limbs attached to the riser, pulley members mounted on the limbs, a draw cable, one or more additional cables, and a cable guard. The limbs, draw cable, and additional cables are arranged so that drawing the bow rotates the pulley members to let out the draw cable, takes up or lets out each additional cable with the pulley members, and bends the bow limbs toward one another. The cable guard comprises an elongated, resilient, non-articulated member attached to and extending backward from the riser, and a cable retainer. The cable guard displaces each additional cable laterally from a shooting plane of the bow sufficiently at brace to avoid fletching of an arrow, and bends inwardly when the bow is drawn but still displaces each additional cable laterally sufficiently to avoid the shaft of the arrow.

  • Patent number: 9933219
Abstract: Crossbows having two trigger safety locks. Operatively connected to a trigger is a trigger lock element that in one position prevents the trigger from moving. To prevent inadvertent contact between a cocking slide and a released stretched cord of the crossbow, a slide lock element engages the trigger lock element until the slide lock element is disengaged by the cocking slide moving out of the way. To prevent an improperly configured projectile from being discharged a projectile lock element engages the trigger lock element until a properly configured projectile is loaded onto a drum causing the projectile lock element to disengage from the trigger lock element.
