  • Patent number: 11438894
Abstract: A wireless device receives a first downlink control information indicating a grant for transmission of one or more first transport blocks via a first bandwidth part during a transmission time. The first downlink control information indicates the transmission time. A second downlink control information indicating switching from the first bandwidth part to a second bandwidth part at a switching time is received. A switch is performed, at the switching time, from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part as an active bandwidth part in response to the second downlink control information. The grant indicated by the first downlink control information is ignored in response to the switching time of the switch being earlier than the transmission time indicated by the first downlink control information.

  • Patent number: 11405902
Abstract: A user device parses system information block data, received from a first cell, to identify an upper layer indicator element, and determines, based on the upper layer indicator element, that the user device is in an EN-DC area. The user device causes, based on determining that the user device is in the EN-DC area, first display of a first indicator on a display of the user device, and sends a request to the first cell for a data connection. The user device receives, from the first cell, a message that indicates a second cell will initiate the data connection via a 5G NR millimeter wave connection. The user device causes, based on the message, display of a second indicator on the display of the user device for a threshold amount of time, and then causes second display of the first indicator on the display of the user device.

  • Patent number: 11405263
Abstract: A database stores self-operation cases for slice reselection requests received by a network function virtualization (NFV) system. The self-operation cases include reasons, contexts, remedial actions, and results of the remedial actions for the slice reselection requests. A set of detection rules identifies at least one issue causing the slice reselection requests based on reasons for the slice reselection requests and contexts of the slice reselection requests. The set of detection rules are applied to the self-operation cases to identify the at least one issue and a remedial action is selected to address the at least one issue. The remedial action is performed to reconfigure the NFV system and the processor determines whether the remedial action successfully resolved the at least one issue. Setting status flags for affected cells or slices prevents slice reselections to the affected cells or slices until the at least one issue is resolved.
