  • Patent number: 6899028
Abstract: A container is provided which comprises a cylindrical main body having an end wall at an end thereof; an outlet projecting from an outer surface of the end wall for allowing a content to be supplied; and a protecting member disposed on the outer surface of the end wall so that it surrounds the outlet and defines a groove portion between the outlet and the protecting member. The protecting member is preferably a continuous or discontinuous annular projection. A conduit of a pump can be coupled to the groove portion by engaging an inner circumferential surface of the protecting member with an outer circumferential surface of the conduit, or by engaging an outer circumferential surface of the outlet with an inner circumferential surface of the conduit.

  • Patent number: 6655273
Abstract: A rotary printing machine includes a first gearwheel, a second gearwheel, and a setting device for selectively adjusting the second gearwheel into a first position, in which the gearwheels are coupled to one another, and into a second position, in which the gearwheels are uncoupled from one another. The printing machine includes a traction mechanism for securing a staggered-teeth rotary-angle position of the second gearwheel relative to the first gearwheel when the second gearwheel is adjusted into the second position, and a first tension element for tensioning a rotatably arranged traction means of the traction mechanism. The first tension element is loaded by a spring. The traction means is assigned a second tension element, and in the second tension element is mounted so to be a selectively adjustable into a first switching position and a second switching position.

  • Patent number: 6647879
Abstract: A sleeve is provided with a clamp for removably clamping the sleeve on a mandrel. A rigid ring is mounted inside of the sleeve at each end of the sleeve. Each ring has a generally cylindrical inside surface which includes a curved contact portion which extends for less than 180 degrees and which is engageable with the outside surface of the mandrel. A curved clamp arm is pivotally secured at one end thereof to each ring. An eccentric shaft extends through an opening in the other end of the clamp arm. Rotation of the eccentric shaft moves the clamp arm toward the contact portion of the ring so that the mandrel can be clamped between the clamp arm and the contact portion.

  • Patent number: 6644182
Abstract: A method of producing cone diaphragm having color patterns includes steps of using a fiber-made thin sheet as a base material; printing the base material with a high molecular ink; soaking the printed base material in a high molecular resin material; or alternatively, first soaking the base material in the high molecular resin material and drying the base material, and then printing the base material wish the high molecular ink; so that the base material is coated with a layer of the high molecular resin to maintain a desired brilliance of the color patterns; drying the base material and positioning it in a high-temperature mold, so that the base material is molded into a cone having a predetermined shape; painting outer surfaces of the molded cone with a paint; and trimming the molded and painted cone to produce a finished cone diaphragm having color patterns.

  • Patent number: 6641314
Abstract: A color thermal printer has a feed roller set, a thermal head, and a tension roller set that are serially arranged along a transporting path. The feed roller set and the tension roller set are rotated by respectively a stepping motor and a DC motor. The stepping motor rotates forwards. Simultaneously, the DC motor rotates the tension roller set forwards, to apply a first transporting force to the continuous recording sheet at a level higher than a predetermined transporting force of the feed roller set. Also, the stepping motor rotates backwards. Simultaneously, the DC motor rotates the tension roller set backwards, to apply a second transporting force to the continuous recording sheet at a level lower than the predetermined transporting force.

  • Patent number: 6623195
Abstract: A collapsible keyboard comprises at least one keyboard module, and each keyboard module has a plurality of keyswitches arranged in array pattern. At least one membrane circuit is provided to connect the plurality of keyswitches. When the keyboard is in an operation state, each keyswitch having a predetermined separation with adjacent keyswitch, and the separation is the same as that in a standard keyboard. To shrink the keyboard, the plurality of keyswitches can be arranged in a collapsed state to reduce the transverse size of the keyboard, the lengthwise size of the keyboard, or both sizes.

  • Patent number: 6604458
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for printing three-dimensional objects, particularly objects having a substantially spherical shape. A pad is provided for printing by means of pad printing. The pad has a silicon shape with a determined thickness, and is mounted on a hollow pad holder made of an undeformable material which constitutes an isolated space together with the silicon shape. The pad is supplied with compressed air and is connected to a pressure vessel by means of a main element provided therefor through an opening. The apparatus is arranged in open loop, wherein there is provided an additional separate aperture for a separate inlet and outlet of air, with a pressure regulating unit enabling the pressure in the pad to be maintained greater than or at a preset level P. The pressure regulating unit regulates the compressed air which enters the regulator through a supply main.

  • Patent number: 6601503
Abstract: A method and apparatus for more simply and efficiently coupling and decoupling a cylinder in a printing machine. The coupling and decoupling apparatus includes a bearing bushing (11) in a fixed bushing (28). The bearing bushing (11) carries an axial force loaded spindle (10) that is axially displaceable within the bushing (11) between a coupling position in a centering portion (9) of the cylinder and a decoupling position in which a braking system (24, 25) is engaged.

  • Patent number: 6557464
Abstract: A nine-cylinder satellite printing unit includes printing stations having a first, second, third and fourth transfer cylinder which a web passes through. The transfer cylinders are capable of being stopped when the printing assembly is switched off. A distance between each of the first and second transfer cylinders, the second and third transfer cylinders, and the third and fourth transfer cylinder is shorter than the distance between the first and fourth transfer cylinder. A guide roller keeps a supplied portion of the web away from the first transfer cylinder and another guide roller keeps a discharged portion web away from the fourth transfer cylinder when the first and fourth printing cylinders are respectively in print thrown-off positions.

  • Patent number: 6550383
Abstract: A series of offset perfecting press units are stacked for printing multicolor images on both surfaces of a web traveling successively therethrough. Each printing unit has two plate cylinders each split into a pair of halves, and two blanket cylinders in rolling contact with the respective plate cylinders and, via the web, with each other. The plate cylinder halves are capable of independent displacement both axially and circumferentially of the plate cylinder for image registration both transversely and longitudinally of the web. The four plate cylinder halves are driven independently from as many drive motors via respective drive linkages. Two of the four drive motors are further coupled via two associated ones of the drive linkages to the blanket cylinders. Motor power is first transmitted to the blanket cylinders, which are less in diameter than the plate cylinders, then to the two plate cylinder halves.
