The first and second locking elements are alternately locatable in the or one of the receiving recesses when the position of the cutting guide is adjusted relative to the cutting blade assembly to lock the cutting guide at different positions.

A controller determines the states of the sensors and disengages power to the motor when the switch is actuated when the states of the sensors are different.
