  • Patent number: 11622220
Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods are described for estimating a position of a loudspeaker and notifying a listener if an abnormal condition is detected, such as an incorrect loudspeaker orientation or an obstruction in a path between the loudspeaker and a microphone array. For example, a front component of a multi-channel surround sound system may include the microphone array and a position estimation engine. The position estimation engine may estimate the distance between the loudspeaker and the microphone array. In addition, the position estimation engine may estimate an angle of the loudspeaker using a first technique. The position estimation engine may also estimate an angle of the loudspeaker using a second technique. The two angles can be processed to determine whether the abnormal condition exists. If the abnormal condition exists, a listener can be notified and be provided with suggestions for resolving the issue in a graphical user interface.

  • Patent number: 11617034
Abstract: An integrated circuit for digital signal routing. Signal routing is achieved with a multiply-accumulate block, which takes data from one or more data sources and, after any required scaling, generates output data for a data destination. Data from a data source is buffered for an entire period of a data sample clock so that the multiply-accumulate block can retrieve the data at any point in the period, and output data of the multiply-accumulate block is buffered for an entire period of the data sample clock so that the data destination can retrieve the data at any point in the period. The multiply-accumulate block operates on a time division multiplexed basis, so that multiple signal paths can be processed within one period of the sample clock.

  • Patent number: 11611828
Abstract: Virtual sound room rendering is most realistic when the listener has themselves been the subject of the binaural room impulse response measurements, and most pleasing when the sound room involved has a high acoustic fidelity. Where the listener has no access to good sound rooms non-personalised high fidelity sound rooms are modified using information from a listener's personalised binaural impulse response data to improve the realism of such rooms. Where sound rooms are available, information from higher fidelity non-personalised sound rooms are used to improve the sound quality of the listener's personalised room data. Alternatively either personalised or non-personalised rooms can be improved through modification of their reverberation characteristics according to the listener's taste.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for signal processing are described. Generally, as provided for by the described techniques, a wearable device to receive an input audio signal from one or more outer microphones, an input audio signal from one or more inner microphones, and a bone conduction signal from a bone conduction sensor based on the input audio signals. The wearable device may filter the bone conduction signal based on a set of frequencies of the input audio signals, such as a low frequency portion of the input audio signals. For example, the wearable device may apply a filter to the bone conduction signal that accounts for an error in the input audio signals. The wearable device may add a gain to the filtered bone conduction signal and may equalize the filtered bone conduction signal based on the gain. The wearable device may output an audio signal to a speaker.
