  • Patent number: 11972277
Abstract: A method for ascertaining an emotional goal includes receiving, via an emotionally responsive computerized system having a user interface communicatively coupled to a networked user device including a processor device, user-input concerning a purpose of a user's interaction with a software interface. It can include registering input indicating a target person to whom the purpose of the user's interaction pertains and prompting the user to provide a root motivator comprising a root emotion or a root reason for the interaction. Some variations include generating a user-perceptible output and a set of user interface elements dependent on the root motivator along with obtaining the user's specific emotional goal with respect to the target person on the basis of user-inputs in response to a presentation of a sequence of user interface elements, to provide the user, via the software interface, a recommendation regarding a fulfillment of the specific emotional goal.

  • Patent number: 11916859
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for automatic arrangement of communications for improved functionality. A client device presents a stacked set of conversation cells on a display of the client device. The stacked set of conversation cells is stacked such that a first conversation cell corresponding to a first chat conversation from the stacked set of conversation cells is a top conversation cell of the stacked set of conversation cells. While presenting the stacked set of conversation cells, the client device receives a first chat communication that is a part of a second chat conversation that is different than the first chat conversation. In response to the receiving of the first chat communication, the client device modifies the presentation of the stacked set of conversation cells such that a second conversation cell corresponding to the second chat conversation is presented as the top conversation cell of the stacked set of conversation cells.

  • Patent number: 11848903
Abstract: A method of synchronizing the display of instant messages between multiple clients is performed at a computer system. Upon receipt of a first synchronization request from a client, the first synchronization request including a conversation identifier and a last message timestamp, the computer system identifies a conversation including a set of messages associated with the conversation identifier. The set of messages was generated after the last message timestamp and have not been received by the client. The computer system then assigns display parameters to the set of messages based on their read-or-not indicators, content, and their temporal relationship with other messages in the conversation. Next, the computer system sends the set of messages and their respective display parameters to the client in a reverse chronological order. The client then displays the set of messages in accordance with their respective display parameters.
