  • Patent number: 7392766
Abstract: A liquid heating appliance, representatively a water heater, is provided with protective apparatus for preventing rupture of its liquid storage tank portion caused by overheating of pressurized liquid therein. Illustratively, the protective apparatus includes a length of thermoplastic tubing, preferably polybutylene tubing, whose interior is exposed to the tank interior so as to be pressurized by heated liquid therein. In the event of a liquid overheating condition in the tank, the tubing is heat-softened in a manner reducing its burst pressure and causing it to burst, at a pressure substantially below the tank burst pressure, and thereby form a pressure relief outlet passage for the tank. A shield structure with at least one fluid outlet opening therein extends outwardly around the thermoplastic tubing to diffuse pressurized fluid escaping from the burst tubing.

  • Patent number: 7377774
Abstract: A change-over apparatus for cooling a gas passage is provided with a cooling chamber and a gas cooling and circulating system. The apparatus is further provided with a stationary partition plate and a slidable shield plate. The stationary partition plate has a suction opening and a discharge opening which are independently communicated respectively with a suction port and a discharge port, and the slidable shield plate has a shield part for partially shielding the suction opening and the discharge opening, whereby it is possible to alternately change over the direction of the gas passing through the cooling chamber.

  • Patent number: 7370462
Abstract: A steam injection manifold assembly is mounted to a crop pick-up assembly and is provided with an elongate manifold disposed lengthwise of the pick-up assembly. A plurality of steam injection tubes are releasably mounted to the manifold to receive steam exiting through respective steam outlet openings provided in the manifold. In one embodiment the injection tubes are shaped similarly to tine stripper bands of the pick-up, and in another embodiment the injection tubes define the stripper bands of the pick-up.

  • Patent number: 7367288
Abstract: An upper bundle cleaning system of steam generator is disclosed which can clean heat transfer tubes and a plurality of tube support plates that support the heat transfer tubes and have slots, using a cleaning device transferred along a guide rail installed to an upper hand hole of the steam generator. The cleaning device is installed to an ascending/descending mechanism which is vertically transferable. The cleaning device includes a frame, at least one or more guide component, a spray component, and a hinge unit, such that the cleaning device is ascended and descended by the ascending/descending mechanism to clean the heat transfer tubes and the tube support plates.
