Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and compositions for the treatment of dermatophytic conditions such as tinea pedis. Such conditions can progress through multiple stages, such as fungal and bacterial stages, making effective treatment results difficult to achieve. The invention relates to a combined therapy effective for treatment of the condition that utilizes daily administration of a balanced combination of antifungals, antiperspirants and drying agents to achieve a beneficial therapeutic effect, irrespective of the stage of the disease upon commencement of the treatment.
Abstract: A method is disclosed herein for promoting the root growth of a plant. The method includes contacting the plant, or a seed of the plant, with a composition containing forchlorfenuron (CPPU) before the reproductive growth stage of the plant, such that either the root length of the plant is at least about 5% greater than for an untreated plant, or the ratio of root length to stem length is increased by at least 5% compared to the untreated plant.
Abstract: Provided herein are compounds that exhibit activity as acetyl-CoA carboxylase modulators (e.g., inhibitors) and are useful, for example, in methods for the control of fungal pathogens in plants.

Abstract: A synergistic mixture of penoxsulam and bentazon controls weeds in crops, especially rice and other cereal and grain crops, pastures, rangelands, IVM and turf. In addition to providing improved post-emergence herbicidal weed control, the mixture safens damage to rice.
Abstract: A silica-based nanoformulation and method is used to treat citrus canker, inhibit the growth of mold and mildew, and add nutrients to soil used for agricultural purposes. The nanotechnology-enabled copper-loaded, silica nanoformulation (CuSiNP/NG) design is a “revolutionary re-invention” of Cu for safe application because it provides a formulation with maximum abundance of ionic Cu, provides sustained and optimal Cu ion release for long-term disease protection, better adherence to plant surfaces and structural surfaces due to gel-based nanostructure of CuSiNG, thus avoiding multiple spray applications and reducing the amount of Cu used in comparison to existing Cu compounds without compromising antibacterial activity.
