    Abstract: Described herein are techniques and systems for selectively transitioning communication sessions from TDD to FDD based on service type and uplink quality. The selective transitioning of communication sessions from TDD to FDD can provide higher and more reliable uplink throughput to UEs, as needed. An example process includes determining, during setup of a communication session for a UE using TDD, a type of service associated with the communication session, and determining that the type of service is a predefined service of a set of predefined services. The example process may further include determining a value indicative of a quality associated with an uplink connection established by the UE, determining that the value fails to satisfy a threshold value, and transitioning, based at least in part on the value failing to satisfy the threshold value, the communication session to a target base station to finish the setup using FDD.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for providing a scaled-out transport supported by interconnected data processing units (DPUs) that operates as a single system bus connection proxy for device-to-device communications within a data center. As one example, this disclosure describes techniques for providing a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) proxy for device-to-device communications employing the PCIe standard. The disclosed techniques include adding PCIe proxy logic on top of a host unit of a DPU to expose a PCIe proxy model to application processors, storage devices, network interface controllers, field programmable gate arrays, or other PCIe endpoint devices. The PCIe proxy model may be implemented as a physically distributed Ethernet-based switch fabric with PCIe proxy logic at the edge and fronting the PCIe endpoint devices. The interconnected DPUs and the distributed Ethernet-based switch fabric together provide a reliable, low-latency, and scaled-out transport that operates as a PCIe proxy.

In addition, the method includes monitoring one or more parameters of the first signal pathway and one or more parameters of a second signal pathway extending between the device and the hub, wherein at least a portion of the second signal pathway comprises a short-range radio connection between the device and a second component of the system. Further, the method includes re-routing the connection between the portable device and the system hub from the first signal pathway to the second signal pathway.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to prioritize cells that support EN-DC over similar cells not supporting EN-DC. The UE may be configured to perform one or more measurement scans associated with cell selection and/or cell re-selection and may determine whether at least two LTE cells meet a selection criteria based on RSRP and/or SNR measurements. The UE may be configured to, in response to determining that at least two LTE cells meet the selection criteria, prioritize a first LTE cell of the at least two LTE cells over a second LTE cell of the at least two LTE cells based, at least in part, on support EN-DC. The first LTE cell may indicate support of EN-DC, e.g., via a ULI IE included in a SIB2 broadcast by the first LTE cell. The UE may be configured to select the first LTE cell for camping.

    Abstract: An Ethernet switch for a vehicle, a method of controlling the Ethernet switch are provided. The method includes detecting a first connection between a connector of the diagnostic device and a first port of the Ethernet switch and establishing a second connection with the diagnostic device by referring to a virtual local area network identifier (VLAN ID) table. A third connection is established between the controller and an electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle by referring to the VLAN ID table. A certificate-based secure access procedure is performed between the diagnostic device and the controller. A mode of the Ethernet switch is switched from a lock mode to an unlock mode and a fourth connection is established between the diagnostic device and the ECU by referring to the VLAN ID table.
