Abstract: A halter bib athletic garment is described herein. A halter bib athletic garment may be removed or lowered without removing a jersey by simply pulling a halter strap over the head of a wearer. One or more embodiments of a halter bib allow wearers to more readily urinate or have a bowel movement because the halter bib may be easily lowered or removed. A halter bib athletic garment may include a lower body section, a chamois coupled to the lower body section, and an upper body section. The upper body section comprises a halter strap forming a portion of a loop of a head opening on the upper body section. The halter strap includes two front side portions and a rear side portion positioned between the front side portions. The rear side portion is coupled to the athletic garment only with the front side portions of the halter strap.

Abstract: A headscarf with a medial headband that can be secured on a user's head in a variety of ways. The integrated headband allows for easy wearing, and prevents the headscarf from falling off the user's head. In addition to the headscarf being worn on one's head, it has a number of other useful applications.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the invention may include a garment adaptable for self-donning and for donning by another onto a wearer. The garment may include two longitudinal panels. Each longitudinal panel may be operatively attached to each other. Each panel may have a waistband portion, a hip portion and a leg portion. Each longitudinal panel may terminate with a first and second cooperating and fastening material that may be disposed substantially along the longitudinal hip and leg portions. Each panel may be moveable between a substantially flat open position and a second closed wearable position where each first and second cooperating and fastening materials of each panel may join the second closed wearable position. The cooperating and fastening material may include continuous strips of cooperating materials that may include mating components.

Abstract: A toe protector adapted to be removably attached to an external portion of the toe-box of cleated athletic footwear having removable cleats to protect an athlete's foot from crush injuries. The toe protector includes plantar flanges, each having at least one threaded cleat stud receiving hole used to attach the toe protector to the cleated athletic footwear in an external relationship. It is formed plastic, polycarbonate, or other materials, having sufficient thickness and hardness to withstand deformation and deflect crush forces applied to the toe-box of the cleated athletic footwear. It is designed to be universally applicable to most all athletic footwear having removable cleats available from known manufacturers and can be easily transferable to other similarly sized cleated footwear.

Abstract: A helmet can comprise an outer shell comprising an outer surface and an inner surface opposite the outer surface, wherein the inner surface of the outer shell comprises an integrally formed locking mechanism. The helmet can also comprise a locking liner formed of a foam material and disposed within the outer shell adjacent the inner surface of the outer shell. The locking liner can further comprise at least one side piece sized to fit between a lower edge of the outer shell and top portion of the outer shell, a top piece disposed at the top portion of the outer shell and comprising a central opening, and a rotatable foam locking piece sized to fit within the central opening and comprising a tab that is sized to mateably couple with the integrally formed locking mechanism of the outer shell to releasably couple the locking liner to the outer shell.

Abstract: A garment, especially a sports garment, having a section which at least partially covers the body of a wearer, wherein the section has at least one venting element for allowing an air flow to flow from the outside of the garment through the section into the inner of the garment for cooling a part of the body of the wearer. To improve the cooling during the movement of the wearer of the garment an actuating mechanism is arranged for opening and closing the venting element in dependence of the movement of a part of the body of the wearer during the use of the garment.

Abstract: An improved protective helmet having an outer impact receiving shell, and inner protective shell and an intermediate piston interposed between the outer and inner shells which allows the inner shell to decelerate gradually when the outer shell is subjected to a sudden impact, and which, therefore, permits the brain to decelerate safely.

Abstract: A sweatshirt having a smoking apparatus as part of the sweatshirt, allowing users to smoke out of the sweatshirt comprises a garment body having a neck opening and sleeves and an elongated cord for tightening the sweatshirt hood around the users head and neck. A hollow tube is positioned inside of the elongated cord. The elongated tube has a smoking apparatus secured thereto which may be a pipe, a vaporizer, an atomizer, a pre-filled electronic cigarette or other apparatus for smoking.

Abstract: An article of apparel includes a padding system that dynamically changes configuration in response to an impending impact. The padding system may change from a state that has a high flexibility and offers low protection from impact to a state that has a low flexibility and offers increase protection from impact. The system may use a filament to constrict a plurality of padding elements together in order to increase the overall stiffness of the pad. The filament may be tightened and loosened by a spool. The spool may receive a signal regarding the impending impact from a sensor that is a part of the article of apparel, or a sensor that is separate from it.

Abstract: A hospital gown closes along the side and across the rear of the shoulder of the person wearing the gown. The side closure combined with different arm closures allows the gown to be used by the patient and the medical staff in different ways. The gown can be placed onto the patient without requiring the patient to sit up. The gown can be draped over the patient like a blanket. The gown can be removed from a patient while the patient is lying down in bed. The side opening of the gown allows the gown to be placed over a patient who is lying on his back without immediately wrapping the gown around the patient's body. When the patient is up and walking, the side closure and a long waist tie provide modesty.

Abstract: A garment for wear by a person and a garment system of garments includes bands and elastic portions to apply tension and support to muscle groups when the garment is worn by a wearer. The garments include a vest with crossed back bands within the garment that are selectively fastenable to the exterior of the vest to exert tension from the shoulders to the hips. Also included is a cape with shoulder straps and hip straps to apply further tension when attached to the vest or another garment. A shirt includes a central back panel and one or more shoulder straps, the central panel extending to side straps at the hip. Shorts with a spiral strap apply tension from the body core to the leg of the wearer. Shirts and tops for women including for maternity wear include support specific to a woman's body. Some of the shirts, tops, shorts and vests have wearer adjustable straps to vary the tension applied by the straps.

Abstract: A pair of safety glasses including a pair of arms extending from opposite sides of an eye glass shield member. A terminal end of each of the arms, opposite the eye shield member, includes a near terminal region curves inwardly toward the other arm and a far terminal region, further from the eye shield member than the near terminal region, that curves outwardly and wherein the far terminal region includes a trap defined by a hole through the far terminal region in communication with a slit extending from the hole to an exterior side of the far terminal region with a protrusion extending into the hole, from an edge of the hole, near the slit. The pair of safety glasses includes an earplug lanyard coupled through each hole of the pair of arms.

Abstract: An orthotic insert device has a first portion generally underlying the plantar surface of the heel fat pad of the calcaneus of a wearer's foot when the insert is placed in a corresponding shoe. The device has a second portion which is located and sized to generally underlie the mid-foot of the wearer. The first portion under the heel is less rigid, that is, more compressible, than the second portion underlying the mid-foot. As a result, the device not only decreases the force felt on the heel, but also acts to offload the force from the heel toward the mid-foot, especially during the impact phase of a person's gait. By off-loading the heel and transferring weight to the mid-foot, force otherwise felt in the region of the calcaneus is dissipated over a much larger surface area, including the mid-foot.

Abstract: A snowshoe (1) for mountain winter sports includes: a plate (2) for resting on the snow and distributing a user's weight, having an upper face (2?) and a lower face (2?); elements for fixing, at least partially, the user's foot to the upper face (2?) of the plate (2); and a plurality of spikes (3), where the plate (2) includes a mobile structure (4) adapted to make the plurality of spikes (3) alternately available below the lower face (2?) of the plate (2), so as to define an uphill and a downhill configuration.

Abstract: A self-donning nursing gown enables self-donning of a gown while maintaining sterile integrity. The gown provides a pair of shoulder pads having a heavy consistency and grip for gripping the shoulders and maintaining a secure mount on the shoulders. An adhesive panel on a front portion of the gown adheres to the chest area for detachably fastening the gown to the user while the gown is donned. In this manner, the user dons the gown without exposing the hands to a rearward or upwardly disposed non-sterile area, and without assistance from another person. Further, the gown stays on the user without peripheral fastening components. The shoulder pads enable donning of the gown by moving the shoulders in a repetitive up and down motion. The adhesive panel are pressed onto the chest with the sleeves to fasten the gown for use.

Abstract: An article of footwear is disclosed that includes an upper and a midsole. A first midsole impact force attenuation structure or system is arranged at least within the toe region of the midsole. A second midsole impact force attenuation structure or system is arranged at least within the heel region of the midsole, such that the second midsole impact force attenuation structure or system includes a molded heel region member extending from a lateral side of the article of footwear to a medial side; the heel region member having a hollow central region defined by a first radius of curvature in a direction toward the toe region and a second radius of curvature in a direction toward the heel region. The first radius of curvature is different from the second radius of curvature. The heel region member may be in an asymmetrical stiffness construction.

Abstract: An assistive garment for aiding in reorientation of the lower limbs of a wearer has a pair of trouser legs, each of which is dimensioned to encompass at least a portion of a respective lower limb of the wearer. A bridge extends between the pair of trouser legs and is joined to each leg of the pair. A handle extends from the bridge. The handle is adapted to permit manipulation of the lower limbs of the wearer by way of manipulation of the handle using at least one upper limb of the wearer.

Abstract: A warping system for reducing tension in a plurality of yarn ends wound by the warping system onto a beam. The warping system minimizes the number of contact points as yarn is pulled off of yarn packages in a creel and wound onto the beam. After exiting a tube, yarn passes over a roller and an expansion comb before being wound onto the beam. The yarn extends between the roller and the beam substantially in a yarn plane. The yarn can contact the warping system at only one contact point between the roller and the beam.

Abstract: A knee padding for scrub pants may include a base layer having a first surface area and a plurality of intermediate layers wherein each one of the intermediate layers has a progressively larger surface area than the intermediate layer proximate the base layer, thus forming a stepped pyramid-like padding. The padding may form a knee pad and be secured to scrub pants with stitching creating a uniform pattern.

Abstract: A fencing mask having a front metal mesh portion, a bib portion extending from a lower portion of the front metal mesh portion, and a securing portion extending from the front metal mesh portion for securing the mask on a user. The securing portion is made up of at least two spaced apart elements that define a gap therebetween for accommodating a user's ponytail.
