The plasma display panel includes a plurality of discharge cells defined by a corresponding plurality of barrier ribs, and a phosphor layer formed on the bottom surface of the discharge cells and side surfaces of the barrier ribs. A ratio of the thickness of the phosphor layer formed on the side surface of the barrier ribs to the thickness of the phosphor layer formed on the bottom surface of the discharge is between approximately 0.8 and 1.3. A phosphor layer formed in this manner provides improved emission characteristics, and allows for a simplified, more cost effective manufacturing process.

Further, a manufacturing method of the emitter composition and a field emission cell using the emitter composition are also provided. In the current invention, since the field emission cell has the carbon nanotube and the diamond distributed simultaneously therein, it has a relatively high current density even at the same driving voltage, thereby improving emitting properties. In addition, the field emission cell is advantageous in terms of superior printability and stable field emission, while reducing various expenses required to operate and repair constitutive parts thereof.

When the lens member is attached to the base, the inner convex face deforms the resin material and air and excess resin material can be pushed to the outside.

In the step of forming the sealing portion, a compound glass tube, which is composed of an outer tube made of a first glass and an inner tube made of a second glass whose softening point is lower than that of the first glass, is inserted into the side tube portion, which is also formed of the first glass. The side tube portion is then heated so that the side tube portion is brought in tight contact with the compound glass tube. Thereafter, at least the sealing portion is heated at a temperature higher than the strain point temperature of the second glass portion.
