  • Patent number: 11388391
Abstract: Head-mounted Displays (HMDs) are commonly used for virtual reality, mixed reality, and augmented reality. HMDs are, by definition, worn on the head of a user to provide a display in the line of sight of the user. By viewing the display, the user is able to experience one of the aforementioned types of reality. Oftentimes, HMDs are configured to integrate live video captured from the user's perspective, especially in the case of the HMD providing augmented reality where a virtual environment is combined with video of the real world. The present disclosure provides a configuration for a HMD having an array of image sensors to accurately capture image data to form the live video from the user's perspective.

  • Patent number: 11373343
Abstract: Generating, at a server of a generative adversarial network (GAN) for color selection, a training set of color palettes. A color palette generator of the server generates a first set of color palettes based on the training set of color palettes. The first set of color palettes may be compared with a reference set of color palettes to predict a curated set of color palettes. Colors from the curated set of color palettes may be removed that are within a predetermined distance from one another in a color space. The GAN may be validated by performing cluster analysis to determine outlier latent dimensions to be changed for the color selection by the GAN. Proposed color palettes may be generated based on the GAN to be displayed on a display device.

  • Patent number: 11361737
Abstract: In a normal state, a video input interface receives video data. In a setup state, a control input interface receives graphics data for an On Screen Display (OSD) function. In the setup state, an encoder encodes the graphics data, and stores compressed image data S6 thus encoded in memory. In the normal state, a decoder reads one item of the compressed image data from the memory according to an instruction signal, and decodes the compressed image data thus read so as to reproduce the original graphics data. A multiplexer superimposes graphics data on frame data, and outputs the superimposed graphics data.

Abstract: An image reproduction system and methods for providing colorant data to an end device. A method includes extracting general HSV value data for each pixel of an image from image data. For each pixel, the general HSV value data is transformed to generate universal perceived brightness, Bp, and universal perceived-chroma, Cp, value data. End-device colorant data associated with the general HSV value data is retrieved for each pixel and scaled using the Bp and Cp value data to obtain scaled end-device colorant data. The scaled end-device colorant data is transmitted to the end device.
