Abstract: A system (100) comprising a mobile communication terminal (1) and a buildings engineering system GT is disclosed. The mobile communication terminal has a display unit (4) and an input unit (3), preferably a combined input and display unit (4), a near-field communication interface (5) and a control unit SE. The control unit SE is set up to use the near-field communication interface (5) to read at least one parameter P of the buildings engineering system GT and to provide said parameter for software application 6 executed by the mobile communication terminal (1), wherein the software application is designed to take the at least open parameter P as a basis for depicting a user interface (9) on the display unit (2) and to evaluate a user input on the user interface (9) via the input unit (3) and to send actuation data based on the user input to the buildings engineering system GT. The mobile communication terminal (1) is preferably a smartphone or a tablet.

Abstract: An electronic device can implement a zero-latency digital assistant by capturing audio input from a microphone and using a first processor to write audio data representing the captured audio input to a memory buffer. In response to detecting a user input while capturing the audio input, the device can determine whether the user input meets a predetermined criteria. If the user input meets the criteria, the device can use a second processor to identify and execute a task based on at least a portion of the contents of the memory buffer.

Abstract: A system and method whereby an user interface editing device is used to create a user interface for a controlling device, the created user interface including user interface elements that are associated with functional operations of a virtual equivalent of an appliance. After the created user interface is transferred to the controlling device, the virtual equivalent of an appliance is caused to be linked to an intended target appliance whereupon activation of those user interface elements of the graphical user interface that were associated with functional operations of the virtual equivalent of an appliance will cause the controlling device to transmit commands to control corresponding functional operations of the intended target appliance.

Abstract: A method for providing real-time virtual experience of user interactions includes rendering a 3-D virtual environment based on one or more images of a physical environment including one or more representations of physical objects, receiving a user input to place a first preset virtual object at a space in the 3-D virtual environment, rendering the first preset virtual object, detecting, by the one or more cameras, a user's hand gesture interacting with the first preset virtual object, translating the user's hand gesture into an interaction with the first preset virtual object, identifying a first part of the first preset virtual object that is subject to the interaction with the first preset virtual object, concurrently displaying in real time on the display a representation of the user's hand gesture and a movement of the first part of the first preset virtual object caused by the interaction in the 3-D virtual environment.

Supplemental content may then be associated with the hotspot such that, when the hotspot is invoked in a slide presentation, the supplemental content is surfaced.

Abstract: Embodiments described include systems and methods for presenting additional content for a network application accessed via an embedded browser of a client application are provided. Additional content related to network applications may be presented on client devices. Specifically, activity such as embedded browser activity may be monitored. Responsive to detecting an event based on the monitored activity, additional content related to the network application may be provided. In various embodiments, the additional content is provided to a client application on the client device for presentation on the client device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing physical input at an automated device are described. An automated device provides a sequence of interfaces. The automated device communicates with a server to exchange data, which is used to dynamically populate one or more of the interfaces in the sequence. The interface sequence includes: a physical input type selection interface providing an option to provide physical input; a physical input request interface requesting physical input; a physical input processing interface indicating processing; a data value confirmation interface showing determined value for the physical input; a summary interface indicating restrictions for an account; a data update processing interface indicating further processing; an acknowledgement interface indicating the account was updated to reflect the physical input; and an record preview interface providing a preview of a session record.

The texting application includes an embedded widget for controlling the rich media. Rich media includes, among other things, video clips, streaming audio, a map application, a movie-time application, a social movie-site application, a dynamically controllable image, or promotional media. Different mobile devices executing the texting applications communicate through a server that allows additional functionality, such as syncing the play of video clips and hosting and pushing the promotional media.

Abstract: A computer-based method for rendering modified graphical content is disclosed. The graphical content includes a plurality of cells. The method includes receiving the graphical content with metadata modifying the graphical content, rendering the graphical content upon a screen according to the metadata, and receiving user input. The method also includes in response to the user input, progressing through at least a subset of the cells, wherein the progressing includes moving a camera view from cell to cell in the at least a subset, each of the cells in the at least a subset being displayed as a focus point with surrounding area being adjusted in opacity according to the metadata.

Abstract: A context aware service provision method and apparatus for recognizing the user context and executing an action corresponding to the user context according to a rule defined by the user and feeding back the execution result to the user interactively are provided. The method for providing a context-aware service includes receiving a user input, the user input being at least one of a text input and a speech input, identifying a rule including a condition and an action corresponding to the condition based on the received user input, activating the rule to detect a context which corresponds to the condition of the rule, and executing, when the context is detected, the action corresponding to the condition.

Abstract: Methods and systems for performing automated keyboard mapping for virtual desktops are described herein. A system may generate a keyboard mapping table containing a plurality of keyboard inputs. The system may simulate a keyboard input locally at the system and using a virtual desktop hosted by a remote desktop platform to generate keyboard simulation outputs in response to a first keyboard input. In response to determining a discrepancy between the keyboard simulation outputs, the system may modify a key value in the keyboard mapping table resulting in a corrected keyboard mapping table, where the key value corresponds to the first keyboard input. In response to receiving a second keyboard input, the system may apply the corrected keyboard mapping table to display a keyboard output at the virtual desktop hosted by the remote desktop platform, where the second keyboard input has the same key value as the first keyboard input.

Abstract: A video processing method, a video processing device, and a storage medium are provided. The video processing method includes: determining target image frames corresponding to a dynamic special effect in a video and determining an attribute of a special effect element corresponding to the dynamic special effect in each of the target image frames and coordinates of the special effect element. The video processing method also includes: rendering the special effect element on a drawing interface based on the attribute and the coordinates of the special effect element; filling the target image frames into the drawing interface as a background and forming drawing interface frames with the dynamic special effect; and outputting the drawing interface frames corresponding to each of the target image frames.

Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) display method and apparatus, and a terminal device are provided. The method includes: generating a first instruction and a second instruction when it is detected that an interface element of a GUI is operated by a user and a current first display attribute parameter of the interface element does not correspond to a predetermined attribute parameter value; adjusting, in response to the second instruction, a value of a display attribute parameter of the interface element to a second display attribute parameter value; and executing the first instruction and displaying an interface element corresponding to the second display attribute parameter value. In the embodiments of the present invention, an operating manner of adjusting the display attribute of the interface element is convenient and does not interrupt a user operation in the GUI.

Abstract: A user interface may be provided for displaying a series of reports. The user interface may include a primary report area, a secondary report area and a navigation slider. The primary report area may be utilized to display a selected report image associated with a report in a report series. The secondary report area may be utilized to display one or more additional report images associated with other reports in the report series. The navigation slider may be utilized to navigate among the report images displayed in the secondary report area. The report images displayed in the primary and secondary report areas may be manipulated by one or more user commands received in the user interface.

Abstract: An event can be detected by an input device. The event may be determined to be a triggering event by comparing the event to a group of triggering events. A first prediction model corresponding to the event is then selected. Contextual information about the device specifying one or more properties of the computing device in a first context is then received, and a set of one or more applications is identified. The set of one or more applications may have at least a threshold probability of being accessed by the user when the event occurs in the first context. Thereafter, a user interface is provided to a user for interacting with the set of one or more applications.

Abstract: A cloud-based access to child care planning and outcome resource is described. The resource allows multiple end-users to access content related to child care. Such content includes reports, table, graphs, multimedia, lists, forms, reminders, and/or other appropriate elements. The content may be presented via one or more graphical user interfaces (GUIs). Each such GUI may include various input elements such as tabs, buttons, icons, etc. and various content elements such as portlets, or frames, etc. Each GUI may be customized for a particular end-user and/or a particular group of end-users. In this way, an administrator or super-user may generate multiple GUIs, where each is associated with a user group (e.g., parents, teachers, administrators, etc.). In addition, each end-user may be able to customize the GUIs available to the end user. Such customization may include selection of input and/or content elements, layout of elements, graphical features, and/or other appropriate customizations.

Abstract: In a system and method for navigating content, a first selection of an aggregated content category is received from a plurality of aggregated content categories provided in a first portion of a user interface for an application for browsing and viewing media content. A second portion of the user interface is populated with media content items categorized in the selected aggregated content category. A second selection of a media content item of the media content items categorized in the selected aggregated category is received. The media content items are shifted to the first portion of the user interface, and the second portion of the user interface is populated with user interface panels relating to aspects of the selected media content item. A third selection of an indicator to view the aspects of the selected media content item is received. The user interface is regenerated to cause the display of only the user interface panels.
