Abstract: A method for delivering media content in full motion video to users via a network in a collaborative media production process is disclosed. The method includes: receiving production digital media files at a server; preparing the production digital media files for downloading or streaming to a collaborative display interface, wherein the production digital media files include meta-data captured on a production set, including production time codes; downloading or streaming the production digital media files to a collaborative display interface via the network; and enabling viewing and collaborative interaction with the production digital media files by a user using the collaborative display interface, wherein the collaborative interaction includes interacting with other users during post-production by notating comments that include inserting a link to a specific digital media file and an actual media clip frame using a production time code.

Abstract: A method, including presenting, by a computer, multiple interactive items on a display coupled to the computer, receiving an input indicating a direction of a gaze of a user of the computer. In response to the gaze direction, one of the multiple interactive items is selected, and subsequent to the one of the interactive items being selected, a sequence of three-dimensional (3D) maps is received containing at least a hand of the user. The 3D maps are analyzed to detect a gesture performed by the user, and an operation is performed on the selected interactive item in response to the gesture.

Abstract: A keypad displaying method is provided. The keypad displaying method includes displaying a plurality of keys in a predetermined first display area, and upon receiving a signal corresponding to a request to cyclically shift the plurality of keys, cyclically shifting the plurality of keys in response to the request. The proposed keypad displaying method enables a user to conveniently enter text into a media device while holding the media device with one hand.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for management of linked contact records containing information from multiple source records. User interfaces and methodologies for displaying and managing a linked contact record of a contact allow the linked contact record to be readily and selectively managed. A user can interact with a user interface in order to selectively add, remove, and re-store links to a linked contact record of a contact.

In one embodiment disclosed herein, a single-finger single touch on a touch screen displaying at least a page of content is detected. At least in response to the detecting the single-finger single touch, a page zoom is performed.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed to the stacking of visual items, and their subsequent expansion, or unstacking Upon selection of a stack, that stack expands into the individual visual items making up that stack. Further aspects of the present invention are directed to expanding a stack in different ways depending upon the circumstances. Further aspects of the present invention are directed to providing a hot area associated with, and potentially disposed around, a stack. Selection by the user of the hot area results in selection of the associated stack. The stack may itself be considered a single item that is itself selectable. After the stack is expanded, then the individual visual items making up the original stack are each individually selectable. However, when stacked, the individual items may not be selectable except as a complete stack.

Abstract: The various implementations described herein enable bridging the use of a social networking application with the viewing and listening experiences associated with broadcast media. In particular, users are enabled to share and view nuanced comments associated with media content presented on a first type of device using Internet-enabled second devices. For example, a client device is enabled to synchronize a displayable user interface with a post stream associated with a particular broadcast media program as it is airing; and to present and enable user selection and modification of one or more social network post templates associated with the particular broadcast media program in order to produce a user-specific social network post. The user-specific social network post is then transmitted to a server system. In addition to providing the social network post templates, the server system operates to publish the user-specific social network post in the appropriate post stream.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for streaming a media includes a server side receiver for receiving a request to stream a media from a media player. The apparatus further includes a content generator, a server side transmitter, and a media stream generator. The content generator is configured to generate content information providing a plurality of presentation options to consume the media. The server side transmitter is configured to send the content information. The server side receiver is further configured to receive a selected presentation option from amongst the plurality of presentation options. The media stream generator is configured to generate a media stream comprising the media based on the selected presentation option.

Abstract: An approach for selecting points of archived history data for viewing. The approach may relate to a user interface workflow of selecting points. Site controllers may be configured using control entity definitions, history extensions, point group naming and template features of a supervisor. The supervisor may provide for selection of groups or categories of sites and controllers within selected sites using selection boxes. This may permit a user to quickly refine site selection by, for example, filtering by group, site category, and a refined site list box. Once a site, the controllers and desired point groups and other appropriate items have been selected, the user may proceed to view historical data for the selected sites and controller points.

The gesture processing device implements a guide mode to execute an action within the participant domain based on a gesture from the guide gesture sphere.

Abstract: Scrollbar control is utilized for manually scanning for displayed/available information while controlling the amount of information that is actually materialized. In response to a drag and hold of the “thumb” to a beginning or end location of the scrollbar, additional records may be retrieved depending on a display order of data on the user interface. If the location corresponds to an end of records (whether at the beginning or at the end of the order), that may be indicated. Upon release, the thumb may be moved automatically to a predefined location to indicate additional available records at the source if that is the case.

Abstract: Multitouch capabilities can be used to allow a user to set adjust one or more application control parameters at the same time as editing commands are provided via touch input. The control parameters may relate to how/what edit commands are provided, such as allowing for varying brush characteristics, colors, gradients, and the like used in editing graphics or other document content. Additionally or alternatively, the control parameters may relate to a design canvas or other depiction of the document, such as allowing rotation, position, or magnification of the canvas while the document is edited.

Abstract: A method includes transmitting an interface to a display device, where the interface represents a view of at least a portion of a graph. The graph is based on a model of a system and includes a plurality of nodes connected by a plurality of links, where at least one node of the graph includes another node. The method includes receiving a command to store a placemarker corresponding to the view and storing the placemarker. The placemarker is selectable to restore the view at the interface.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, a method of playing a media includes receiving a first media stream of the media and displaying the first media stream in a first window of a media player. The first media stream includes navigable parts configured to be selected for higher resolution streaming. A request to stream a selected navigable part of the first media stream is sent. A second media stream with the selected navigable part is received and displayed. The resolution of the selected navigable part in the second media stream is higher than the resolution of the selected navigable part in the first media stream.

Abstract: Systems and methods in accordance with various embodiments of the present disclosure enable use of a keyboard to navigate a webpage presented in a web browser. According to an embodiment, a two-dimensional grid is placed over a webpage and elements of the webpage are assigned to the nearest cells of the grid. The grid specifies the directional and distance relations among the various elements of the webpage. Functionality is provided that enables users to quickly navigate the elements of the webpage using arrow keys of a keyboard. For example, if a selection indicator is currently focused on a webpage element that is assigned to a particular cell of the grid, a press of the left-arrow key moves the selection indicator leftward along the grid to the element that is assigned to the nearest leftward cell. The same functionality is applied to up-arrow, down-arrow, and right-arrow keys. Further, functionality is provided that enables users to quickly navigate the elements of the webpage using hotkeys.

Abstract: Systems and methods for configuring a UI display layout for displaying record fields in a multi-tenant on-demand database service. A data record is initially displayed on a first portion of a user interface display, and an identification of a set of one or more fields of the data record is received, e.g., from a user. A selection of a display configuration for the set of identified fields is also received, e.g., from a user. The display configuration may include one or more columns, each column having one or more rows, wherein the display configuration identifies, for each of the set of fields, in which column and row the field is to be displayed. Data for the set of fields based on the selected display configuration is then displayed on a second portion of the user interface display which may include a collapsible display panel.

Abstract: A graphical keyboard including a number of keys is output for display at a display device. The computing device receives an indication of a gesture to select at least two of the keys based at least in part on detecting an input unit at locations of a presence-sensitive input device. In response to the detecting and while the input unit is detected at the presence-sensitive input device: the computing device determines a candidate word for the gesture based at least in part on the at least two keys and the candidate word is output for display at a first location of the output device. In response to determining that the input unit is no longer detected at the presence-sensitive input device, the displayed candidate word is output for display at a second location of the display device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for displaying a context-inclusive magnification area. In one aspect, a method can include receiving input indicating a user preference for magnification of content. Content that corresponds to the preference can be identified. One or more contextual content elements that are not adjacent to the selected content in the user interface and that are determined to provide context to the selected content can be identified. A magnification area on the user interface of the computing device that includes at least the selected graphical content and the one or more contextual content elements can be displayed.
