  • Patent number: 11985597
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless communications system may support one or more communication devices (e.g., user equipment (UE)) operating according to an aperiodic (e.g., and dynamic) discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. For example, a UE may communicate with a device in the wireless communications system (e.g., a base station, another UE) according to a periodic DRX mode. In response to a transition indication, the UE may dynamically transition to the aperiodic DRX mode and may operate according to the aperiodic DRX mode for a duration. To operate according to the aperiodic DRX mode, the UE may be configured to disable a first set of communication operations for the duration, perform a second set of communication operations during the duration, or a combination thereof (e.g., across component carriers of a carrier group, across component carriers of a DRX group).

  • Patent number: 11973855
Abstract: There is described a Precision Time Protocol (“PTP”) transparent clock for inter-VLAN forwarding comprising a Layer 2 switch and a PTP module. The switch includes a first port associated with a first VLAN and a second port associated with a second VLAN. The switch detects a PTP frame at the first port and the PTP module receives the PTP frame. The switch forwards the PTP frame to the second port in response to the PTP module determining that the PTP frame is a forwardable frame. For another embodiment, the switch includes a ternary content-addressable memory (“TCAM”), and the PTP module configures the TCAM to include forwarding rules. The Layer 2 switch forwards the PTP frame to the second port in response to identifying a particular forwarding rule associated with forwarding the PTP frame.

  • Patent number: 11863359
Abstract: Technologies to improve throughput in wireless multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) and single-input-single-output (SISO) systems are described. A first device includes a baseband processor with an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) circuitry that uses a digital multi-carrier modulation scheme that defines a set of data subcarriers, a set of pilot subcarriers, and a direct current (DC) subcarrier to communicate data in a wireless channel between the first device and a second device. The baseband processor also includes subcarrier pre-equalization logic that receives, from the second device, feedback data indicative of a frequency selective fading characteristic of the wireless channel and adjusts a first amplitude value of a subset of the set of data subcarriers to a second amplitude value. Adjusting the first amplitude value to the second amplitude value reduces the frequency selective fading characteristic of the wireless channel.
