Abstract: A highlighting engine modifies a target document by identifying and highlighting a set of text passages. The highlighting engine receives a training set of data including documents that each include a set of highlighted text passages. The highlighting engine trains a machine learned model using the training set of data. The trained machine learned model, when applied to subsequent identified candidate sets of text passages within the target document, identifies the set of text passages to highlight. The highlighting engine modifies the target document with the highlighted set of text passages and provides the modified target document for display via an interface. The highlighted set of text passages enable a user to quickly read and understand the target document.

Abstract: Systems and methods of editing a user experience by a what you see is what you get (wysiwyg) editor are disclosed. A system obtains a visible portion of a document object model for a document, with the visible portion including one or more visible objects to be presented to a user during a user experience. Instead of the visible portion being generated by the wysiwyg editor (thus requiring the visible portion to be rendered again at a later time by a rendering engine), the visible portion to be used is generated by the rendering engine based on a schema of the document. To allow such, the system generates and outputs an overlay to be placed on the visible portion during display of the visible portion, with the overlay to receive user inputs to the visible portion and thus prevent user interaction with the visible portion.

Abstract: In some implementations, a method includes acquiring data about a plurality of web pages rendered within one or more browser tabs of a web browser executing on at least one computing device and processing the acquired data to group the plurality of web pages into one or more groups of web pages. The processing includes performing a similarity analysis using the acquired data, where each group includes web pages that are determined to be topically related to each other based on the similarity analysis. The method includes selecting a group of web pages from the one or more groups of web pages that are determined to be topically-related to content displayed in the web browser and providing a navigation suggestion for display on a user interface of the web browser based on the selected group.

Abstract: Media, methods, and systems for causing display on a client device of a preview of a collaborative document in a group-based communication system based on user-specific indicia, content-specific data, changed document data that thereby presents a dynamic preview, or a combination of user-specific indicia, content-specific data, and changed document data. Media, methods, and systems further provide a container for files may be created within a group-based communication system. Once files are received and associated with the container, a container preview may be generated. After creation, the container preview may be transmitted to users of the group-based communication system for display.

Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus provide the ability to generate and deliver personalized digital content. Multiple content tests are performed by presenting different variants of content to a set of different consumers of one or more consumers. A machine learning (ML model is generated and trained based on an analysis of results of the multiple content tests. Based on the ML model, personalization rules, that specify a certain variance for a defined set of facts, are output. The personalization rules are exposed to an administrative user who selects one or more of the personalization rules. A request for content is received from a requesting consumer. Based on similarities between the defined set of facts and the requesting consumer, a subset of the selected personalization rules are selected. The content is personalized and delivered to the requesting consumer based on the further selected personalization rules.

Abstract: A system and method for detecting webpage zones of interest. A method includes receiving at least one webpage analysis request, wherein the received at least one webpage analysis request includes at least one webpage in a website; identifying, in the at least one webpage, at least one zone, wherein the at least one zone is a content element of a webpage; classifying the at least one zone into a category of interest, wherein the classification is based on a trained machine learning model configured to classify DOM elements of the least one webpage, and wherein a category of interest is a category determined based on a functionality of the website; and storing the classification by indicating the category of interest for each zone.

Abstract: Methods and systems of displaying a first string of characters and a second string of characters on an electronic display in a manner to reduce interference between the first and second strings, where a layout of displayed content is preserved, the method including steps of receiving a first string of characters, receiving a second string of characters, identifying a first character in the first string that interferes with a second character in the second string, receiving a modified character corresponding to the first character, rendering the first string and the second string for display, and displaying the first string and the second string on an electronic display. In some embodiments, airspace scaling or deemphasis is used to generate modified characters.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for browsing a table in a document, and an electronic device and a storage medium. The method includes: in a process of editing a table in an online document, receiving a table page jump instruction of a first table and jumping from a document page corresponding to the online document to a first table page for display; receiving a table switching instruction in the first table page; and switching from the first table page to a second table page for display according to the table switching instruction; where the first table page is used to display the first table, and the second table page is used to display a second table. Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for detecting truncation and overlap defects. Location and size information for the elements of the webpage are obtained. An intersection over union (IoU) calculation is performed for two webpage elements using the obtained location and size information for at least one of these webpage elements. Furthermore, the location relationship between these two webpage elements is determined. A table, which defines truncation defect and overlap defect scenarios, is then reviewed to determine if there are any truncation or overlap defects in these two webpage elements using the IoU calculation, the location relationship and the text condition, which indicates whether text is included in one of the two webpage elements. If any truncation or overlap defects are found in the webpage, then such truncation and/or overlap defects are marked on a screen capture of the webpage.

Abstract: The disclosed technology creates a family of spreadsheet functions (predefined formulas) which allows users to create programming loop equivalents in their regular spreadsheet cells combining familiar range or array evaluating functions (e.g., SUM, COUNT, MIN, MAX, etc.) with data filtering and output selection. The input data to these new functions can be sourced from multiple cells within the spreadsheet or a broad spectrum of numeric, date and text data not stored in a spreadsheet, including data not discretely defined. The technology disclosed can use as inputs cell ranges or Non-spreadsheet Cell (NSC) data formulas. The technology supports functions with predefined combinations and user specified combinations all capable of automating, millions of looped calculations.

Abstract: Methods for automatically suggesting content items to an author of a digital page so that they can be added to the page. One embodiment comprises a method that includes opening a digital page in a digital page editor and launching a component browser that enables the viewing of a set of digital content items stored in a content repository. Textual information is extracted from the digital page and the digital assets contained in the page. This information is analyzed to identify words indicative of the page's subject matter. A query is generated based on the identified words and submitted to a search engine, which searches the repository for items related to the subject matter of the page. The content items identified by the search results are displayed to the author, who can select one of the items to add it to the page.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a processor. The processor is programmed to: control a display to display a plurality of recognition results, each recognition result being a recognition result of a document, the document having a plurality of items and an entry field for each item, each recognition result being displayed for each corresponding item of the document; acquire a checking order for each item, the checking order being an order in which each of the displayed recognition results has been checked by a user viewing the displayed recognition results; and change a display order by using the acquired checking order, the display order being an order in which to display a subsequent set of recognition result.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure extract annotations from web pages. The annotations are combined with search results and/or advertisements to allow the user to better understand the content of the search result or advertisement landing web page. A visual snapshot of the web page is taken. Visual processing extracts information from the visual representation. The HTML, for the web page is also analyzed and various pieces of information extracted. The information from the visual processing is combined with the information extracted from the HTML. The combined information is evaluated and information for the annotations are selected. The annotations are then combined with the search results and/or advertisements.

Abstract: A handwritten data capture method creates handwritten data including a plurality of pieces of stroke data that is based on writing performed on each page of a paper medium having a plurality of pages. The handwritten data capture method includes: acquiring the plurality of pieces of stroke data created based on the writing sequenced in a writing order; displaying the pieces of stroke data together on a display device; accepting an input of a break position of the pieces of stroke data; identifying a continuous portion of the pieces of stroke data based on the break position and the writing order; updating the display device to display the identified continuous portion of the pieces of stroke data in the writing order; and repeating the accepting, the identifying, and the updating until a given operation is received.
