Abstract: A lever shifting device for a bicycle for operating a bicycle derailleur having a return spring and provided with a positioning mechanism having a positioning member which rotates in association with an operating lever to set the speed change stage of the derailleur is disclosed. Between a fixing member and the positioning member is provided an auxiliary spring, so that the operating lever can be lightly operated against the return spring.
Abstract: A pipe coupling is described comprising a pair of flanged collars, each collar having a sleeve that fits within one end of a pipe and an integral radial flange that extends radially outward of the pipe section circumference. An annular ring gasket is formed or disposed around each sleeve and the gasket is lodged between the inside surface of the pipe and the sleeve. The end of each pipe section which receives the sleeve is then crimped to form indentations in the exterior surface of the pipe, said indentations compressing the gaskets and forming a watertight seal between the sleeves and the end of each pipe section.
Abstract: A conventional T-Y joint of a fume-extracting welding gun is constructed of two semi-circularly contoured parts which are snap-locked together along a longitudinal line of join. One part may have a cylindrical portion integrally formed therewith to form an end closure for the joint. The end closure has bores for utility feeds therethrough, with that for the power cable being provided with an integrally-formed hexagonal recess to receive a hexagonal nut on the power cable to enable the power cable to be clamped to the joint.
Abstract: This invention relates to an internal expansion coupling device for forming a T-joint between essentially perpendicularly disposed tubular members, where one of the tubular member is provided with a circular wall opening aligned with an open end of the other tubular member, and said circular wall opening includes an elastomeric collar thereabout.
