  • Patent number: 9528274
Abstract: A masonry siding for use on a wall is provided comprising one or more layers for creating masonry siding; and one or more strategically positioned inserts embedded within the one or more layers allowing to secure the masonry siding on a wall. The inserts are positioned in a mold in order to allow for the securing of the masonry siding to a wall or building structure, by screwing a bolt or other similar device through the insert, which runs along the width of the masonry siding. The bolt or screw is then completely hidden from view as it penetrates the front face of the insert completely. A method is also provided for manufacturing a masonry siding with inserts to secure the masonry siding to a wall by providing steps to create the masonry siding from a mold with the inserts within the mold.

  • Patent number: 9528263
Abstract: A self-aligning block system is disclosed having a series of block formations wherein the blocks comprise predefined polygonal shaped channels for insertion of a uniformly shaped polygonal peg. Insertion of a peg between adjacent channels will drive uneven blocks into alignment and hold the blocks without the need of mortar. Walls may be created by end-to-end stacking of linear blocks and half blocks in staggered or parallel columns to create internal walls and corners within a wall by addition of corner blocks and half blocks without offsetting the progression of the outer wall. Addition of half blocks into wall progression may be implemented to reset the progression of inner and outer walls after corner formation.

  • Patent number: 9476195
Abstract: Anchoring system is appropriate for solid rock and concrete (2) and any firm bearing system. The anchor rod (4) of for example a threaded bar out of a shape memory alloy (SMA) is held in the armature bore (3) with a filling compound (5) as anchoring means. For filling the achoring bore (3) between anchor rod (4) and wall of the armature bore (3) a heat resistant filling compound (5) of a polymer connection on a two-component-basis or such on a cementous basis is used. Then the anchor rod (4) is heated by heat input over its butt that is emerging the filling compound on its austenit phase, which pre tensions the anchor rod (4). Finally, after the cooling of the filling compound (5) the anchor rod (4) is cooling of to ambient temperature. A counter bearing board (10) lays on the outer wall (1) around the port of the armature bore (3) and is tensed up with the anchor rod (4).

  • Patent number: 9453338
Abstract: In a balcony comprising parallel transverse boards forming a floor, transverse joists and longitudinal parallel joists supporting the transverse boards, the installation of a watertight underdeck membrane above each pair of longitudinal joists protects the structure from decomposing by recuperating water infiltrating between boards. The membrane comprises flat sloped zones and a foldable gutter shaped zone between two flat zones. The gutter zone becomes progressively deeper from upstream till downstream by stretching it with fingers. At the most upstream point of the balcony, above the first transverse joist attached against a wall of a construction, the gutter zone is completely flattened to bend the membrane and put it against the wall, thus acting as a flashing which collects water flowing along the wall before infiltrating into joists. The membrane is rollable for facilitating transportation and also to cut at a desired length according to balcony length for avoiding unnecessary junction.

  • Patent number: 9447585
Abstract: A support assembly is provided for supporting external veneer. It has a mounting bracket that is fixedly mounted to a load bearing wall support structure, and a shelf angle. The shelf angle includes a horizontal leg that defines a surface upon which to mount the external facing members. The mounting bracket may be a channel. The legs of the channel may each be formed to have a seat. The seat includes an outwardly protruding toe, an accommodation for the shelf angle, and an overhanging finger. The back of the shelf angle may have apertures to admit the toes of the mounting bracket, such that the vertical load is transferred from the web of the shelf bracket to the toes. The toes do not extend below the horizontal leg of the shelf angle, and do not protrude downwardly of it. The seat includes an oversized slot having a relief angle to permit the shelf angle web to be rotated angularly during assembly. The finger is also relieved, at an angle of relief greater than the slot.

  • Patent number: 9447557
Abstract: Footer products, and footers made with such products. Such product includes an insulating member between its upper and lower surfaces. The upper surface receives a load. The interior transfers the load from the upper surface to the lower surface, and distributes the load laterally and longitudinally such that the load received at the lower surface is within the load-bearing capacity of underlying soil. The product provides a thermal shock barrier between underlying soil and the interior of the building. The insulating member can comprise the entirety of the product, or can be combined with top and/or bottom load distributing layers, or can be combined with intercostals which extend top-to-bottom through the foam. Such footers are useful in constructing structures which use footers to spread the overlying load onto a greater surface area of the underlying soil than the cross-section area of the structure which presents the load to the footer.
