The flap is foraminous to pass liquid therethrough and the flap is normally positioned in a closed position having the flap closing the closed loop. The flap is only openable in a direction of flow in the trap to inhibit an animal from entering the toilet from a sewer line. The flap is urgeable into an open position in the direction of flow in the trap to facilitate solid waste to flow through the trap when the toilet is flushed.
