  • Patent number: 10979322
Abstract: A monitoring device/module monitors a plurality of nodes in a data center network, and determines one or more latency distributions of response times for messages exchanged between pairs of nodes of the plurality of nodes. The network monitoring device determines a network topology, including one or more communication links interconnecting nodes of the plurality of nodes, consistent with the one or more latency distributions. The network monitoring device also determines a representative response time for each communication link based on the one or more latency distributions, and compares a current response time a message exchanged between one pair of nodes to the representative response time for the communication link interconnecting the one pair of nodes. The network monitoring device identifies a network anomaly when the current response time deviates from the representative response time for the communication link interconnecting the one pair of nodes by a threshold amount.

  • Patent number: 10958597
Abstract: The disclosed technology relates to a process for general-purpose ring buffer handling in a network controller. Specifically, general purpose ring buffers are used in software queue on both the host domain and the network controller to carry out user-defined protocols. The protocols define the relationship of the ring buffers in the host domain and the network controller domain (e.g. how data is moved and processed). The protocols minimize interruptions to the network controller. Furthermore, the implementation of ring buffers in the network controller domain also provides additional resources to the host domain for carrying out the user-defined protocols.

  • Patent number: 10869001
Abstract: A data stream from an internal endpoint of a video conference participant is received at an enterprise media processing node. The internal endpoint is accessible to the enterprise media processing node behind a firewall on an enterprise network. The received data stream is translated and transcoded into a predefined common communication protocol. A data stream in the common communication protocol is received at an external media processing node using a firewall friendly protocol to traverse the firewall from an external endpoint. The external endpoint communicates with the external media processing node outside the enterprise network. • Patent number: 10862646
Abstract: Embodiments described herein encode data for multiple-segment transmission in a communication channel by encoding payload bits with an outer code and distributing the outer encoded payload bits to a plurality of N element coders, where N is an integer greater than one. At each of the N element coders the respectively input outer encoded payload bits are encoded with a respective element code. Outputs of the N element coders are encoded with an inner code such that the inner code applied to at least one of the outputs of the N element coders is a function of the output of at least one other of the N element coders. Finally, N discrete inner coded outputs are provided for transmission in respective N discrete segments of a wireless channel. The examples present polar element coders and the inner code combines outputs of certain element coders with an exclusive-OR function.

  • Patent number: 10855515
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or computing devices are provided for determining whether to perform a switchover operation between computing nodes. A first computing node and a second computing node, configured as disaster recovery partners, may be deployed within a computing environment. The first computing node and the second computing node may be configured to provide operational state information (e.g., normal operation, a failure, etc.) to a cloud environment node state provider and/or cloud persistent storage accessible through a cloud storage service. Accordingly, a computing node may obtain operational state information of a partner node from the cloud environment node state provider and/or the cloud storage service notwithstanding a loss of internode communication and/or an infrastructure failure that may otherwise appear as a failure of the partner node. In this way, the computing node may accurately determine whether the partner node has failed.
