Abstract: At least a metallic part of a metal or metallized reinforcer, at least the surface of which is at least partially metallic, is coated with a polybenzoxazine, the repeat units of which comprise at least one unit corresponding to the formulae (I) or (II): in which Z1 represents an at least divalent, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic bonding group comprising at least one carbon atom and optionally at least one heteroatom selected from O, S, N and P; X1 and X2, which are identical or different, represent O or S; Ar1 and Ar2, which are identical or different, represent a substituted or unsubstituted phenylene group; and Z2 represents O or (S)n, the symbol ānā representing an integer equal to 1 or greater than 1. Such a reinforcement can be used for the reinforcement of a rubber article, in particular a motor vehicle tyre.

Abstract: A method of increasing corrosion resistance without leveraging toxic hexavalent chromium uses partially oxidized graphene particles mixed into primer applied on metallic alloy surfaces. Graphene is effective as an anti-corrosion primer additive because it acts as a physical barrier and has electrochemical properties that change potentials needed to induce corrosion.
Abstract: A resin composition includes a vinyl-containing polyphenylene ether resin and a prepolymer, wherein the prepolymer is prepared by prepolymerization of a mixture which at least includes a divinylbenzene, a triallyl compound and a diallyl isophthalate. An article made from the resin composition is also provided, which includes a prepreg, a resin film, a laminate or a printed circuit board. The article achieves improvements in at least one properties of glass transition temperature, copper foil peeling strength, dissipation factor, inner resin flow, melt viscosity, minimum dynamic viscosity, resin filling property in open area, and water resistance.

Abstract: An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition is provided, which is resistant to coloration. The ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition contains: (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer; (B) sorbic acid; and (C) a sorbic acid ester; wherein the sorbic acid ester (C) is present in an amount of 0.00001 to 10 ppm based on the weight of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition; wherein sorbic acid (B) and the sorbic acid ester (C) are present in a weight ratio (B)/(C) of 100 to 100,000.
