  • Patent number: 11487988
Abstract: Original sensor data is received from one or more sensors of a vehicle. Free space around the vehicle is identified according to the sensor data, such as by identifying regions where data points have a height below a threshold. A location for an object model is selected from the free space. A plane is fitted to sensor data around the location and the object model is oriented according to an orientation of the plane. Sensing of the object model by a sensor of the vehicle is simulated to obtain simulated data, which is then added to the original sensor data. Sensor data corresponding to objects that would have been obscured by the object model is removed from the original sensor data. Augmented sensor data may be used to validate a control algorithm or train a machine learning model.

  • Patent number: 11487561
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system and method are provided for constructing an accurate view of memory and events on a simulation platform. The system memory view can be used with a debug and analysis tool to provide post-processing debug, including searching forward and backward in capture time of the stored memory view to analyze the events of the simulation. The memory is constructed by capturing and storing each memory execution transaction, bus transaction, and register transaction during simulation. Changes in simulation platform hardware state may also be captured and stored in a hardware state database, including switches between process threads detected during the simulation that may update a simulator register. The captured events provide observability into the OS processes, the hardware, and the embedded software of the simulation platform.

  • Patent number: 11468218
Abstract: Computer-implemented techniques are disclosed for verifying circuit designs using subgraph caching. A device under test (DUT) is modeled as a graph. The graph is partitioned into one or more subgraphs and problems are generated for each subgraph. Graph and subgraph problem generation is repeated numerous times throughout the verification process. Problems and sub-problems are generated and solved. When a subgraph problem is solved, the problem's variables, values, and information can be stored in a cache. The storage can be based on entropy of variables used in the graph and subgraph problems. The subgraph problem storage cache can be searched for previously stored problems which match another problem in need of a solution. By retrieving subproblem variables, values, and information from the cache, the computational overhead of circuit design verification is reduced as problems are reused. Caching can be accomplished using an information theoretic approach.

  • Patent number: 11403739
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for retargeting and prioritized interpolation of lens profiles. A lens profile file may include a set of lens sub-profiles. The camera body and/or settings described in the file may not exactly match that of camera body and/or settings used to capture a target image. A sub-profile processing module may perform a prioritized sub-profile sorting and interpolation method to generate an interpolated sub-profile that may be applied to the target image to correct aberrations including, but not limited to, geometric distortion, lateral chromatic aberration, and vignette. Thus, models generated for a reference camera at a variety of settings may be applied to a target image captured with the same type of lens but with a different camera and/or with different settings that are not exactly modeled in the lens profile file.

  • Patent number: 11347911
Abstract: A reference curve representing measured stress-strain data obtained in a material test of a specimen is received. FEA model is created to represent the specimen which is associated with numerical material properties defined by a formula having a set of adjustable coefficients. Multiple computed curves are obtained each defined with multiple nodes of computed stress-strain values by conducting a time-marching simulation of the material test using the FEA model with a set of unique coefficients. Respective curve difference measurement parameters are calculated between each computed curve and the reference curve using a similarity measure technique that includes trimming off excess end portion of each computed curve so as to match the reference curve. Optimal values of the adjustable coefficients are determined by estimating a minimum of the curve difference measurement parameters according to an optimization technique.

  • Patent number: 11316345
Abstract: A voltage stability prediction system is configured to predict voltage stability of a power system under a contingency. The voltage stability prediction system in this regard may execute model-based contingency analysis using a model of the power system to predict, as of a first time, voltage stability of the power system post-contingency. The voltage stability prediction system also obtains, from phasor measurement units (PMUs) in the power system, synchrophasor measurements that indicate, as of a second time later than the first time, phasors in the power system pre-contingency. Further, based on the model-based contingency analysis and the synchrophasor measurements, the voltage stability prediction system predicts, as of the second time, voltage stability of the power system post-contingency.
