  • Patent number: 11282678
Abstract: According to a method of controlling uniformity of plasma, a first RF driving pulse signal including first RF pulses is generated by pulsing a first RF signal having a first frequency, and a second RF driving pulse signal including second RF pulses is generated by pulsing a second RF signal having a second, lower frequency. The first and second RF driving signals are applied to a top electrode and/or a bottom electrode of a plasma chamber. A harmonic control signal including harmonic control pulses is generated based on timing of the first and second RF pulses. A harmonic component of the first and second RF driving pulse signals is reduced via intermittent activation and deactivation of a harmonic control circuit as controlled by the harmonic control signal. The uniformity of plasma is improved through the control based on timings of the RF driving pulses.

  • Patent number: 11229101
Abstract: A retrofit LED driver is for connecting to a high frequency ballast and for driving a LED load. A switch arrangement is used to couple the driver output power to the LED load or isolate the output power from the LED load. Voltage regulation is used when the output power is isolated from the LED load, and current regulation is used when the output power is coupled to the LED load. The voltage regulation is used so as to increase an output impedance as seen from the high frequency ballast by introducing an additional impedance of non-LED light source, when the output power coupled to the LED light source is less than a threshold, for example in deep dimming mode or standby mode instructed by the user. In this way, the effective impedance of the lamp is increased, which enables switching noise to be reduced, meanwhile the overall LED output power is not increased, as desired by the user.

  • Patent number: 11171699
Abstract: A luminaire includes a universal driver control interface to control various types of driver circuits. The luminaire receives, via a voltage divider, an analog voltage feed as a first driver control signal from at least one driver control wire connected to a driver circuit. The luminaire converts, via an analog-to-digital converter, the analog voltage feed into a digital voltage value. The luminaire compares the digital voltage value with a respective range of unique voltage values in a voltage lookup table for each type of driver circuit to determine a respective type of driver circuit protocol. Based on the determined respective driver circuit protocol identifier and a light source control setting, the luminaire outputs a second driver control signal, via the at least one driver control wire, to the driver circuit.
