  • Patent number: 11154217
Abstract: A breathing apparatus (1) is disclosed that is adapted to determine a transpulmonary pressure in a patient (125) when connected to said breathing apparatus. A control unit (105) is operable to set a first mode of operation for ventilating said patient with a first Positive End Expiratory Pressure (PEEP) level; set a second mode of operation for ventilating said patient with a second PEEP level starting from said first PEEP level; and determine said transpulmonary pressure (Ptp) based on a change in end-expiratory lung volume (?EELV) and a difference between said first PEEP level and said second PEEP level (?PEEP). Furthermore, a method and computer program are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11154680
Abstract: A headgear for a respiratory mask has first and second straps configured to be connected to each other by first and second buckles. The straps are configured to overlap in a region that contacts the rear of a user's head. The overlapping regions of the first and second straps can be positioned in a bifurcated configuration to improve stability on a user's head. The first and second buckles can feature a glider end through which one of the first and second straps can slide and a strap attachment end to which the other strap is permanently connected. In some embodiments, the first and second buckles have two components that are pivotally connected to allow adjustment of the headgear size whilst in a bifurcated configuration.

  • Patent number: 11071836
Abstract: A medicament device sensor (Sensor) comprises a body, a front wall, a back wall, an audio sensor, and a plurality of pressure sensors. The body includes a bottom surface on which the various sensors are coupled. The front wall and the back wall provide mirror symmetry in at most one plane, thereby defining a single orientation in which the Sensor attaches to the medicament device. The front wall includes a securement clip that attaches to a ledge on the medicament device. To detect secure attachment of the Sensor to the medicament device, one pressure sensor detects pressure when the Sensor is secured to the medicament device. Another one or more pressure sensors detect depression of one or more dosing buttons confirming priming of the medicament device. The audio sensor detects an inhalation confirming dispensing of medicament. In effect, the Sensor determines a dispensing event has occurred.
