  • Patent number: 11856046
Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques are disclosed for endpoint URL generation and management. An entity identifier may be received. The entity identifier may be hashed with a hashing algorithm to generate an alphanumeric string. A custom endpoint URL may be generated by combining the alphanumeric string with a URL that identifies an endpoint located on a server of a cloud computing system. A CNAME record in a DNS database may be updated to associate the URL that identifies the endpoint located in a stack of cloud computing system with the custom endpoint URL.

  • Patent number: 11843507
Abstract: Approaches presented herein relate to the management of compatibility and support issues in a networked resource environment. An analyzer service can be used to attempt to identify potential or existing compatibility and other such issues in the environment, as may occur when updating to a new communication protocol or data standard. Such a service can analyze an environment at multiple levels, such as at an infrastructure, services, operating system, and/or code level. For any identified issue, the service can provide information about the issue, as well as one or more recommendations for remediation where available. For at least certain types of issues where permitted, the service can perform a remediation, such as to remove hard-coded dependencies or perform pending software updates. Compatibility monitoring can also be performed over time to ensure continued compatibility, including for additions or modifications in the environment.

  • Patent number: 11842290
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for using higher order actions to annotate a syntax tree. An information space of the syntax tree is annotated with concepts corresponding to tokens in the syntax tree. A concept comprises an object in a domain of the question and relates to other concepts in an ontology of the domain. A higher order action specifies an input, action parameters, and an output. A determination is made of an element in the information space corresponding to the input of the higher order action. A determination is made of an action of in the domain of the question having parameters matching the action parameters. The determined element is input to the determined action to produce output. The information space of the syntax tree is annotated with the output from the higher order action to use to provide an answer to the question.

  • Patent number: 11843645
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, method and/or computer program product embodiments for providing survivable calling and conferencing. An embodiment operates by providing, by a first server, a first sub-conference to a plurality of user devices over first lines. The first sub-conference is combined with a second sub-conference to form a collective conference of the plurality of user devices. The first server accesses the conference. A second server is configured to provide the second sub-conference of the collective conference to the plurality of user devices over second lines, the first and second lines being distinct from each other. The collective conference may provide resilient and reliable sharing of information among participants and may leverage dispersed elements or diverse links simultaneously without impediments of echoes, loops, or other impacts.

  • Patent number: 11838261
Abstract: A method performed by a node (111) supporting operation on a Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP), but incapable of supporting operation on a Domain Name System (DNS) protocol. The node (111) encodes (402) a DNS query into a first message (601, 701), which has a format supported by the CoAP. The DNS query is mapped to the CoAP format of the first message (601, 701) based on a mapping scheme. The node (111) then initiates sending (403) the first message (601, 701) to another node (112) operating in the communications network (100). The another node (112) supports operation on the CoAP and on the DNS protocol. The node (111) finally receives (404) a second message (620, 706) from the another node (112), which has the format supported by the CoAP. The second message (620, 706) comprises the DNS response to the sent DNS query. The DNS response is mapped to the CoAP format of the second message (620, 706) based on the mapping scheme.

  • Patent number: 11824721
Abstract: A method for providing a dormant state for content management servers is provided. Client devices are allowed to conduct transactions with servers when the servers are active. However, in a dormant state, the servers are not allowed to accept new transactions. Thus, by utilizing the dormant state, software upgrades can be made to one server at a time. Alternatively, all servers can be taken down for major upgrades, with the servers still operated in a read-only mode based on a file image from a point in time just prior to the shutdown. When the upgrade is completed, the servers can be returned to the active state.
