Abstract: The present invention is a deployable segmented sport equipment for reducing the impact force on sport equipment worn by a user by using deployable panels. The invention has a body defining a recess, and a panel movable within the recess. The panel includes a panel magnetic element capable of being acted upon by a magnetic force. An electromagnet is provided producing an attractive or repulsive magnetic force on the panel magnetic element. A proximity sensing device capable of sensing an object at a distance from the deployable segmented sport equipment is provided with the body. An electronic controller unit receives signals from the proximity sensing device and controls operation of the controllable magnetic element so as to deploy or retract the panel from or into the recess. The panel being deployed prior to impact with the object, with the repulsive force being controlled to absorb the impact force after impact.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a shapewear garment, a shapewear garment system, and methods of manufacture thereof. The shapewear garments are configured to provide various levels of compression on the body of a wearer for shaping desired areas of the wearer's body. In an exemplary embodiment, the shapewear garment system is formed of two shapewear garments, with one of the shapewear garments being applied on the body of the wearer first for conditioning the body of the wearer to receive the other of the shapewear garments over the one shapewear garment in overlapping relationship thereof.

Abstract: A sports accessory is provided to be worn by a user during a sport activity. The accessory includes a flexure system. The flexure system includes a support structure including a plurality of intersecting grooves disposed along a surface of the support structure, where a plurality of segments are defined along the surface of the support structure between the intersecting grooves such that the support structure is configured to flex along the grooves with segments moving in relation to other segments during use of the sports accessory.

Abstract: A bomb disposal suit includes a jacket, trousers, and a back protector connected between the jacket and the trousers. The back protector includes a body of impact resistant material having a plenum with an intake opening to receive forced air and with outlet openings to direct forced air out of the plenum. A fan forces air into the intake opening. The back protector can transmit load vertically from the jacket to the trousers, for example, via a back plate.

Abstract: Convertible garment systems and related devices and methods are shown and described. In one example, a convertible garment system includes a bathing suit and a pair of detachable-strap-interfaces, each configured to removably connect to the bathing suit's lower straps, and removably connect to the bathing suit's upper straps, thereby creating a second configuration for the pair of upper straps. In another example, a device includes at least one detachable-strap-interface for converting a bathing suit.

Abstract: An elastic garment having a waist band and a pair of leg sleeves. A plurality of strips are secured to the pair of leg sleeves and run up the garment. The top ends of the strips include a hook and loop fastener that attaches to hook and loop fastener patches of the waist band.

Abstract: Bra liner including a substantially planar body including a left triangular portion, a right triangular portion and a central portion between the left and right triangular portions. The central portion includes a flap separated from the left and right triangular portions and optionally one or more apertures. The left and right triangular portions also optionally include one or more apertures. The flap is foldable about a center line of the body. The body includes absorbent material. To form the left and right triangular portions, an elongate slit is present between the central portion and each of the left and right triangular portions. The slits extend downward from an upper edge of the body and inward toward the center line.

Abstract: A protective helmet is provided having an upper section and a lower section, each having an inside and an outside surface. A gap is formed between the upper section and the lower section. Resilient members in the form of a plurality of spaced apart compression struts are provided for connecting the upper section to the lower section. The upper section is movable with respect to the lower section whereby a portion of the force of an impact to the upper section will be absorbed and will not be transmitted to the lower section. A suspension harness is attached to the inside surface of the lower section. The suspension harness is adapted to receive a portion of the helmet user's head and to keep the helmet user's head from contacting the inside surface of the upper section.

Abstract: An elastic garment having a waist band and a pair of leg sleeves. A plurality of strips are secured to the pair of leg sleeves and run up the garment so that a top end of the strips extend above the waist band. The top ends of the strips include a hook and loop fastener that attaches to hook and loop fastener patches of the waist band.

Abstract: Clothing uses a knitted fabric made from a composite thread of elastic fibers and synthetic fibers, wherein the elongation rates in the longitudinal and lateral directions as measured in accordance with the grab method of JIS-L-1096 are 160% or more and less than 250%, and the weight per unit area is 90 g/m2 or more and less than 160 g/m2. The clothing is suitable for use by patients having skin inflammations, has a comfortable texture using a knitted fabric that is light and has a high elongation rate, and does not allow seepage of medicaments or infusions.

Abstract: The present application discloses a helmet, a retention system for a helmet, and a method of adjusting a helmet. In certain embodiments, the helmet comprises a helmet shell and a retention system attached to the helmet shell. The retention system generally comprises a rear portion connected to the rear of the helmet shell, at least one strap extending from the rear portion to a front portion of the helmet shell, and an adjustment device attached to the rear portion and configured to selectively adjust the length of the strap between the rear portion and the front portion of the helmet shell.

Abstract: A formed brassiere and associated method of manufacture is presented that obviates the need of any underwire. A graticulate support member is producible by additive printing customized to the anatomy of a particular user. The graticulate support member is positional between each of a first cup cover and a second cup cover and thence domically formed at temperature to fuse each of the first and second cup covers into a cup shaped appropriate for a particular user. The graticulate support member includes a thickness gradient devised to maintain rigidity of the formed cup from a maximum thickness medially centered at a first edge of the graticulate support member towards a minimum thickness realized at the extremity of a second edge. Support is thereby provided throughout a considerably larger area of the cup relative such provided by use of an underwire only, whereby use of an underwire is entirely obviated.

The elements are interconnected such that, when the pad is deformed, a zigzag arrangement of at least three elements is formed and/or a void enclosed by at least two adjacent elements expands.

In some examples, the body support includes a first support panel having one or more first tongues projecting outwardly therefrom, a second support panel having one or more second tongues projecting outwardly therefrom, a connecting section, joining the first support panel to said second support panel in longitudinal spaced relationship along an imaginary longitudinal mid-line of the body support, the first tongue and the second tongue being on opposite transverse sides of a mid-line of the body support, a first fastener and a second fastener. The body support may further include a doffed configuration in which the first support panel and the second support panel are non-contiguous with respect to one another.

Abstract: A helmet assembly includes a face shield and a single, center top mounting arrangement that operatively connects a center top location of the face shield to a center front mount on the helmet. The face shield can be raised and lowered about a pivot axis provided in the mounting arrangement between a tilted up, non-use position and a lowered, deployed position. The mounting arrangement can include a detent and two recesses, wherein the detent engages a first recess at a slightly forwardly displaced position to allow ventilation between the helmet and mandible and the face shield and a second recess at the tilted up, non-use position. The recess and detent engagement can be overcome by easy manual force acting on the face shield to reposition the face shield.

Abstract: An optimal range of motion garment is provided. The garment is capable of fitting over one or more shoulder pads. The garment comprises a front portion attached to a sleeve, a back portion attached to a sleeve, and a gusset attached to the front portion and the back portion. The gusset is configured to correspond to a negative space of the one or more shoulder pads. The garment may also comprise a sleeve opening attached to the sleeve. The sleeve opening is directed towards the front of a user at a specific angle. The gusset and sleeve opening being directed towards the front portion at a specific angle facilitate optimal range of motion for a user.

Abstract: The present invention concerns an improved article of clothing for nursing, with features that enhance the user's ability to selectively and controllably expose one or both breasts while simultaneously presenting a more secure and stylish look, both when in use and when not in use. The invention allows for individual or dual breast access in a non-obvious form that can provide as much breast coverage as the mother feels comfortable with. When access to the breast is not in use, the clothing shows no signs of having specific nursing functionality. The invention can be applied to articles of clothing in many fashion design style forms. The invention is also able to optionally provide breast support via an internal brassiere, and nipple protection via removable pads.
