  • Patent number: 6083052
Abstract: A connector including a plug, and outlet and a connecting block each of which provides enhanced performance by reducing crosstalk. The plug includes contacts having a reduced amount of adjacent area between neighboring contacts and a load bar that staggers the wires to be terminated to the contacts. An outlet which mates with the plug includes contacts positioned in a contact carrier so that adjacent area between neighboring contacts is reduced. A connecting block includes pairs of contacts wherein the distance between contacts in a pair is smaller than the distance between sets of pairs. The connecting block also includes an improved tip that reduces untwisting of wire coupled to the connecting block.

  • Patent number: 6077103
Abstract: A cramping terminal is provided to have a strong groove portion and an electrical connection with an improved reliability. The cramping terminal 20 has a side cramping blade 29 provided in a groove portion 25. The side cramping blade 29 is formed by bending projections 40 that define the side cramping blade 29 in different directions. Accordingly, holes 42 formed by the projections 40 are left in one side wall 27 more toward one end of the groove portion 25 than the side cramping blade 29 and in the other side wall more toward the other end of the groove portion 25 than the side cramping blade 29. Therefore, the side walls 27 remain opposite to the hole 42, enhancing the strength of the groove portion 25.

  • Patent number: 6059598
Abstract: A connector is provided in order to enhance a tactile sensation by providing a restoring force to a lock piece and further to attain an original locking function at the fitting of both a male and female connector housing. A dome covering the upper edge of a lock piece is formed on a female housing, and an arm which protrudes rearwardly and which can be elastically deformed is affixed to the dome. A projecting contact part protrudes downwardly at the end of the arm and closely contacts the upper edge of the lock piece. When the male and female housings are interfitted, a gaff part on the lock piece engages a protrusion on the male housing and swings upwardly, and in accordance with it, elastically deforms the arm by pushing the projecting contact part. When the male and female housings are normally interfitted, the lock piece restores to its original position and is locked by engagement of the gaff part with the backside of the protrusion.
