Abstract: What follows is a description of a container and integrated work stand combination. Included are a body portion forming an enclosure which supports a component to be shipped and a lid portion which complements the body portion during shipping and also serves as part of a work stand for the component to be replaced at a replacement location. Within the body portion there is supplied supporting structure to which the component is mounted and secured, and to the lid portion there is included also supporting structure to which the component to be replaced is mounted. Both the lid portion and its supporting structure form the work stand.

Abstract: A compartmented composite container package is disclosed including a tubular composite body wall member closed at one end by a metal closure member, the one end of said body wall member containing a cup for receiving a first product, characterized by the provision of a separator member that is connected with the open end of the cup by a snap-fit connection to isolate the first product from a second product that is introduced into the remaining space within the tubular wall member via the other end thereof. In order to further isolate the products from each other, the separator includes a radially enlarged cylindrical flange portion that circumferentially engages the uniform cylindrical inner wall surface of the tubular body wall member, thereby to cooperate with the snap-fit connection to provide a double sealing result.

Abstract: A circuit breaker having stationary and movable contacts operable between open and closed positions. Movement effecting means causes relative movement of the movable contact between open and closed positions, and a closing spring assembly imparts movement to the movement effecting means to move the movable contact to the closed position. The closing spring assembly includes first and second members and a helical closing spring, with the first and second members extending into the central opening of the spring. Shock absorbing means is disposed within the spring opening to absorb energy released when the assembly is discharged.

Abstract: A wood carving kit comprising a wood block having a carving surface on which a pattern to be carved is provided, and an integral frame portion around the periphery of the block and separated from the carving surface by a surrounding groove. The groove extends inwardly from the carving surface by an amount defining the finished depth of the carving and accommodates one or more guard elements removably disposable therein which shield the frame portion from damage from the carving tools.

Abstract: A package for medical needle assemblies and the like including a shield, a cap, and a closure. The shield encloses the needle and a portion of the hub. The cap is mounted on the shield so that it is shiftable between two positions. In the first position it protects the exposed portion of the hub extending from the shield and in the second position it is slidable along the shield to expose the portion of the hub projecting from the shield to facilitate grasping and removal of the needle assembly from the package. The closure covers the opening in the cap and is removable when the package is opened. The closure in working cooperation with a sealing engagement between the cap and the shield seals the needle assembly in the package.

Abstract: An end loaded display carton is formed from a cut and scored blank of paperboard or the like that is preglued and shipped in a generally flat folded condition. The carton, when squared, is of essentially parallelopiped configuration with spaced front and rear walls connected by two outer side walls, and includes a central compartment for receiving a product and a header member at one end thereof. The central compartment is defined by a pair of inner side wall panels that are spaced inboard of and parallel to the outer side walls and which extend for substantially the entire length of the carton. When the carton is squared from its generally flat folded condition to its product receiving parallelopiped condition, the header member at one end thereof is automatically oriented over the central compartment portion of the carton.

Abstract: A preassembled unit or inner cartridge for a multi-stage barrel type centrifugal pump including, bearings, seals, balancing device, impellers and diffusers is aligned, balanced and pressed together into assembled position by a resilient means for stressing the parts against a pair of spaced handling clamps at opposite ends of the preassembled unit which permits the shaft to act as an elongated tie bolt to hold the preassembled unit or cartridge so that it can be installed or removed easily from the fixed outer casing of the multi-stage barrel type centrifugal pump.The unit or cartridge is preassembled and aligned in a special supporting frame which duplicates the engagement shoulder and end face on the pump casing so that all adjustments can be made easily and precisely at a point away from the pump.

Abstract: A package for pile fabrics in which individual turns of the fabric when coiled into a roll are separated and spaced apart by spacing means associated with a supporting strip releasably secured to one edge of the pile fabric. The turns of the supporting strip are bonded together to form a unified end structure.

Abstract: A packaged dinner serving tray being of a one piece, lightweight plastic construction having a central cavity for holding the standard packaged dinner and having support portions for holding the packaged dinner in the cavity spaced above the surface on which the tray is placed (i.e. such as a table) and having opposite side openings to facilitate handling and serving of packaged dinner in the tray.

Abstract: A component container for use in accommodating electric and/or electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors or semi-conductor elements, of a type having no lead wire outwardly extending therefrom, which comprises a casing having a plurality of elongated storage chambers defined therein and extending in parallel relation to each other in a common plane. Each of the storage chambers has a first end opening on one side surface of the casing and a second end opposite to the first end and opening on the other side surface of the casing opposed to the one side surface. The component container further comprises separate barrier members each for providing removably an obstruction to a group of the first or second open ends of the storage chambers to substantially close them with the components accommodated within the storage chambers in respective rows.

Abstract: The present invention resides in the combination of a one-piece carton and an integral, removable coupon card wherein the carton employs both interior and exterior glue flaps. The coupon card is removably attached to the exterior glue flap of the carton and is releasably adhered to the exterior of a side wall of the carton while the interior glue flap is conventionally adhered to the inside of a side wall of the carton.

Abstract: A unitary multipurpose bathroom fixture of improved function and appearance for making available both conventional dry sheets of toilet-tissue from a roll carried by a spindle component and supplemental premoistened sheets from a container component. A first fastening means, exclusively serving an engaging purpose, is integral with portions supporting the spindle component. A second fastening means, also exclusively serving an engaging function, is integral with the container component. The two fastening means are adapted to effect a firm engagement with one another and thus to provide the unitary fixture. Also included are means for determining the direction of withdrawal of the premoistened sheets to insure their individual availability and to prevent dislodgement of the container. Other means relate to convenience and economy in supplying the premoistened sheets.

Abstract: A luggage case having two compartments respectively accessible from opposite sides of the case. The two compartments are formed by means of a partition yieldably retained intermediately of the opposite sides of the frame of the case by elasticized fabric attached to the partition and stretched over the side edges of the frame, which fabric at the same time provides an internal lining for the luggage case of pleasing appearance.

Abstract: A novel nail clip is provided for use with power actuated drivers. Each clip comprises a plurality of impact fasteners each having a flange intermediate its ends, and a strip consisting of a plurality of serially connected fastener-supporting members each surrounding and supporting the driving or impact end of a separate fastener. The strip is formed to facilitate the shearing off of said fastener-supporting members singly in response to shearing forces produced when each member and the fastener which it supports are impacted by the hammer of a driver tool.

Abstract: A surgical blade dispenser includes a box for storing blades in such position that a scalpel handle can be inserted through an aperture in one wall of the box to lockingly engage one blade and remove it from the box through the aperture. The blades are individually positioned and supported within the box such that apertures in the shank portion of the blade are engagable with a mating boss on the forward end of the scalpel handle as the handle is inserted through an aperture in the wall of the box. Further insertion of the handle causes the boss to fully engage the aperture in the scalpel blade and, once complete engagement has been attained, the blade is withdrawn from the box by withdrawal of the handle through the aperture.A blade disposal section is preferably included in the box. The handle aperture of the blade disposal section is provided with a metal edge.

Abstract: A device readily attachable to a standard toilet-tissue dispenser of a roll type for positioning adjacent thereto in visual alignment supplemental material such as a container of prewetted toilet sheets. The sheets are manually withdrawable from an aperture which is held firmly at a fixed position to assure their ready withdrawal and consistent location.

Abstract: A paperboard container comprises an opened top receptacle adapted to contain foodstuffs therein and a separate cover telescopically disposed on the receptacle. The receptacle comprises a bottom panel, a pair of laterally spaced end panels, a back panel and a front panel hingedly connected to the bottom panel. A pair of lock flaps are hingedly connected to opposite ends of the front panel to each engage within a slot defined on a forward edge of a respective end panel. A slit, formed on the end panel, defines a lock tab adapted to bend outwardly to receive the lock flap thereunder when the front panel is moved to its closed position. The receptacle is adapted to be loaded with foodstuffs, such as asparagus, upon opening of the front panel which is thereafter closed for reception of the cover on the receptacle.

Abstract: A substitute toggle switch cover plate has an elongated opening within which is reciprocatively captured an actuating member having a recessed carrier portion at the inside adapted to loosely enclose the control lever of an electrical toggle switch, and a slide knob at the outside for moving the carrier member together with the toggle switch lever between "on" and "off" positions.
