  • Patent number: 6600236
Abstract: The universal fleet electrical system is an integrated system for supplying electrical power to aftermarket accessories, particularly to police vehicles and other emergency vehicles. The system includes a central power distribution panel, which includes a fuse panel and a lighting selector junction box, together with a universal wiring harness. A variety of custom wiring harnesses may also be used in the universal fleet electrical system. A dash mounted console is provided for operator control of the various accessory devices. The lighting selector junction box permits various lighting accessories to be connected to different light level circuits through push connectors, so that a plurality of lighting devices may be controlled by a single switch.

  • Patent number: 6586848
Abstract: A function selecting control system is provided, which modularizes a plurality of wiper control systems, builds them in an integrated circuit, and selects a desired system on the basis of a selection signal of the system from the outside, thereby drive-controlling a wiper motor. The function selecting control system includes: input device 30a for inputting a selection signal which selects a control logic block 30h corresponding to a starting control mode out of the control logic blocks provided for every control mode of the motor; judgment device 30c for reading the input selection signal for a standard number of times and for judging the coincidence among the read selection signals; count device 30e for counting the number of times of the coincidence; settlement device 30f for settling the selection signal when the number of times of the coincidence reaches the predetermined standard number; and system starting device 30g for starting a control logic corresponding to the settled selection signal.

  • Patent number: 6583519
Abstract: An apparatus for generating and distributing electrical power in a vehicle which has at least one electric drive motor connected via a converter to a fuel cell unit, with the fuel cell unit being connected to at least one first, one second and one third voltage network, and with each voltage network having at least one associated electrical load and/or at least one associated energy store. The first voltage network is formed by the fuel cell voltage network and is connected via a first bidirectional DC/DC converter to the second voltage network and the first bidirectional DC/DC converter provides DC isolation between the first voltage network and the second voltage network. The second voltage network is connected via a second bidirectional converter to the third voltage network.

  • Patent number: 6580184
Abstract: An ESD protection circuit having silicon-controlled rectifier structure, includes a PNP transistor and an NPN transistor. A switch circuit is connected between a ground voltage terminal and a well region that is a base of the PNP transistor. The switch circuit is formed of plural diode-coupled MOS transistors, so that a trigger voltage of the SCR is determined by threshold voltages of the MOS transistors.

  • Patent number: 6580183
Abstract: A measuring circuit capable of performing a high-accuracy measurement by eliminating inductive influence from an ambient noise voltage source. An electric circuit including a signal circuit of high impedance, a wiring conductor and a meter is provided with a shielding resistance member having a significantly lower resistance than that of the signal circuit in dependence on an inter-terminal voltage of the high impedance signal circuit and a shield formed of an electrically conductive material disposed in association with the wiring conductor. A voltage distribution function of the shielding resistance member is matched equally to that of an inter-terminal voltage distribution function of the signal circuit. By measuring a line voltage through the medium of the high impedance signal circuit shielded by the shielding resistor, high accuracy measurement can be realized without undergoing adverse influences of parasitic capacitance and induction.

  • Patent number: 6563236
Abstract: A feed line switching circuit includes a relay connected between feed lines, a normally close contact of the relay, and a resistor that constitutes a series circuit with the normally close contact, which series circuit is connected in parallel with the relay. The resistance of the coil of the relay and the resistance of the resistor are determined to satisfy the condition that the current flowing through the relay after energizing the relay can prevent the chattering of the relay. Thus, the feed line switching circuit can positively carry out the feed line switching.

  • Patent number: 6534884
Abstract: A vehicle proximity sensing system for sensing vehicle activity rearward of a driver of a vehicle comprises a proximity sensor, an information display and a control. The proximity sensor senses vehicle activity rearward of the driver of a subject vehicle to detect an approach of a rearwardly approaching vehicle. The information display alerts the driver of the subject vehicle that the rearwardly approaching vehicle is within a threshold distance. The control is operable to generate an alert on the information display in response to the proximity sensor.
