  • Patent number: 11036798
Abstract: Generally described, one or more aspects of the present application relate to data search system that can facilitate data searches such that the amount of computing resources such as processing power and bandwidth used to generate and output search results is reduced. For example, in response to a search request specifying a set of search criteria, the data search system may identify a combination of sub-criteria, access a pre-generated threshold corresponding to the combination of sub-criteria, determine a real-time index value corresponding to the combination of sub-criteria, identify a plurality of resources that satisfy the set of search criteria, and output a subset of the plurality of resources to the user computing device from which the search request was received.

  • Patent number: 7752238
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for converting a searchable electronic catalog of the type used in e-commerce and industrial materiel systems. Such catalogs are typically configured as databases but can be created from a variety of different source materials. The method includes identifying a set of items to be converted, identifying the characteristics for each item, accessing the characteristic values for each identified item, accessing mapping rules for each characteristic and each item, mapping the characteristic values for each item in the first catalog into the characteristic identified by the rule for the item in the second catalog, and compiling the mapped characteristic values for each item to form the second catalog.

  • Patent number: 6954751
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a network based operating system for mobile clients is disclosed. Services may be developed that can be used to support different client devices with different capabilities. The services provide output with multiple variations based on different devices, and an intermediary selects the variation best suited for the requesting device. An online software development system is provided to allow services to create, edit, test, and deploy applications at an intermediary using only a browser at the client end. Services may also be provided that can be accessed and referred to by other services, thereby facilitating the combining of different services. Services may also store and access data at an intermediary using variables and a mapping of the stored data to the variables. Data stored at the intermediary may be used to allow an end user to return to a previously accessed service.
