Abstract: An augmented reality system generates computer-mediated reality on a client device. The client device has sensors including a camera configured to capture image data of an environment. The augmented reality system generates a first 3D map of the environment around the client device based on captured image data. The server receives image data captured from a second client device in the environment and generates a second 3D map of the environment. The server links the first and second 3D together in a singular 3D map. The singular 3D map may be a graphical representation of the real world using nodes that represent 3D maps generated by image data captured at client devices and edges that represent transformations between the nodes.

Abstract: A gaming machine including a secondary processor coupled to a player tracking system for tracking game play of a patron using a virtual player loyalty card is described. A virtual player loyalty card can be created by associating an existing physical player loyalty card with a newly created mobile loyalty card account. The mobile card can be virtually inserted into an electronic gaming machine when a portable electronic device with an associated mobile application is in the vicinity of an electronic gaming machine. Once the mobile card is virtually inserted into the gaming machine, the patron's game play at the gaming machine can be tracked.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system that allows a user to track performance metrics from a game controller. These performance metrics are displayed on a screen of the game controller. In addition to the game controller, the disclosed system may comprise an app, on a device external from the game controller, that is also able to display the performance metrics as they are updated.

The method comprises generating a map comprising a playing area, the playing area configured to shrink discontinuously at a variable shrinking rate, the variable shrinking rate having a default rate value. When it is determined that a shrink operation of the playing area is to be initiated, the method proceeds to determine whether a number of players currently alive in the game is equal to or lower than a threshold value. In response to determining that the number of players currently alive in the game is equal to or lower than the threshold value, the variable shrink rate is increased to a rate value greater than the default rate value to obtain an increased shrink rate, and the playing area shrinks from a first configuration to a second configuration in accordance with the increased shrink rate.
