Abstract: N-(heterocyclicaminocarbonyl)arylsulfonamides in which the aryl radical is substituted in the 2-position by a carboxy radical, ester, thioester, or amide thereof; e.g. N-[(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl)-aminocarbonyl]-2-methoxycarbonylbenzenesul fonamide or N-[(4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-2-methoxycarbonylbenze nesulfonamide; are useful for the regulation of plant growth and as pre-emergence and post-emergence herbicides.

Abstract: Subject of the invention are liquid pesticidal compositions in the form of aqueous suspension concentrates, which in addition to the active substance or mixture of active substances contain an alkali metal salt of sulfosuccinic acid semiester prepared by reaction of a polyglycol ether of a condensation product of (C.sub.8 -C.sub.12)-alkylphenol and formaldehyde with maleic anhydride and an alkali metal sulfite, in combination with a mixture of an alkali metal salt of a ligninsulfonic acid and identical parts of a swelling alkaline earth metal silicate. These suspension concentrates have an advantageous stability to storage.
Abstract: The invention relates to compositions useful for prolonging the action and increasing the selectivity of herbicide compositions containing .alpha.-chloroacetamide derivatives as active ingredient as well as to highly selective herbicide compositions containing .alpha.-chloroacetamide derivatives as active ingredients and optionally an antidote wherein an animal derivative of the general formula (III) is used for achieving the prolonged action and increased selectivity.
