Each description file includes a name of a cloud storage provider, a catalog listing cloud service options offered by the cloud storage provider, and pricing and descriptive information for the options. The historical activity data is mapped to the cloud service options. A set of cost figures is generated based on the mapping. Each cost figure represents a cost that would have been charged to a user, based on the historical activity data, by the cloud storage provider for storing the backups and accessing the backups for the restorations. The cloud storage providers are rated using the cost figures and the rated cloud storage providers are displayed in a user interface to allow the user to select a particular cloud storage provider to which the backups are to be migrated.

Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for generating constraints based on reported crop arrivals to marketplaces and remote sensed data to estimate farm yields of farm fields. A total arrival quantity constraint for a marketplace is generated comprising a function of a reported arrival of crops at a marketplace and an estimated arrival to the marketplace comprising a sum of farm yields for the farm fields, wherein the farm yields comprise variables to optimize. Sensed data of the farm fields is used to determine relationships of the farm yields for the farm fields. Comparative farm yield constraints are generated comprising relationships of the farm yields for different pairs of farms. A constraint optimization problem is solved based on the total arrival quantity constraint and comparative farm yield constraints to calculate the farm yields of the farm fields.

For example, price sensitivity of a current inventory item at a physical retail store may be modeled using techniques that account for differences in operating behavior and data availability at physical stores versus online channels for selling items. When the current item is placed on clearance at the physical retail store, a request for a markdown schedule, including goals for the clearance, may be received. The forecasted price sensitivity of the current item may be adjusted based on actual price sensitivity of one or more past clearance items (e.g., based on actual clearance sales data) determined to match the current item. An optimal markdown schedule for the item may then be determined based, at least in part, on the adjusted price sensitivity of the item and clearance goals.
