Patent number: 9339984Abstract: A box gluing device for attaching a glue tab of a box blank to an opposing panel when the box blank is folded so the glue tab is position at an edge of the box blank. The gluing device includes a support structure upon which a gluing apparatus and a support plate are mounted. The gluing apparatus includes a glue dispensing nozzle for applying glue on a surface of the box blank. The box blank can be moved through the gluing device to attach the glue tab to the opposing panel. As the box blank moves through the gluing device, a guide rail orients the glue tab in a desired manner while glue is applied to the box blank, and a roller assembly presses the glue tab and the opposing panel together with the glue therebetween.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2009Date of Patent: May 17, 2016Assignee: Packsize, LLCInventors: Niklas Pettersson, Ryan Osterhout, Hanko Kiessner

Patent number: 9284076Abstract: An apparatus for collecting a flattened tubular box, for opening-out and transferring the tubular box towards a receiving station has a first member hinged to a frame, bearing first aspirating means. Second, third, and fourth hinged members and the frame forming a four-bar linkage. A fifth member, hinged to the fourth member, bears second aspirating means. An abutting member is arranged between the first member and the receiving station inferiorly of the tubular box. The apparatus is being designed such that when the tubular box is in the folding position, a second wall of the box can be intercepted by the second aspirating means and folded progressively with respect to the first wall, the first aspirating means disengage the first wall, and the box moved by the second aspirating means up to rest on the abutting member with a consequent complete opening-out of the tubular box.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2012Date of Patent: March 15, 2016Assignee: MARCHESINI GROUP S.p.A.Inventor: Giuseppe Monti

Patent number: 9260211Abstract: A plastic film wrapping device has a chassis, at least one conveyer device, pair of feeders, and enclosing device. The feeders supply plastic film from the two sides of the chassis. An enclosing device straddles between two sides of the conveyer device and has at least one pair of sealing blades that are reciprocally movable in a horizontal direction which forms a film sealing opening, whereby the inward movement of the two sealing blades into the film sealing opening combine with each other to fuse and on together ends of the plastic films. A leading edge of the article contacts and pulls forward the joined plastic films to have the plastic films wrapped around an outer circumference of the article and then the rear ends of the plastic films are fused to seal the article.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2012Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Inventor: Tzu-Chin Hung

Patent number: 9254612Abstract: A heat shrink apparatus for heat shrinking a shrink film to a bladder. The heat shrink apparatus may include a support structure, a bladder support system, and a heat chamber. The bladder support system for supporting the bladder thereon may have two spaced apart parallel rows of a plurality of resilient members pivotally and/or resiliently attached to the support structure. The heat chamber may be hollow with opposing end openings and may have one or more heating elements therein. The heat chamber may translate over the shrink film and the bladder along the support structure between the two spaced apart parallel rows, shrinking the shrink film to the bladder. As the heat chamber translates, it may contact ends of the resilient members, thereby pivoting or deflecting the resilient members from a first position to a second position such that the heat chamber can pass between the two parallel rows.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2012Date of Patent: February 9, 2016Assignee: Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.Inventors: Rodney Eugene Bahr, Ryan Craig Harris

Patent number: 9248416Abstract: A device for the pressurization and evacuation of a gas in a bottle, in order to approximate the unopened (ambient) conditions of a previous gaseous state in said bottle. Two units comprise this system, namely a charging unit and a sealing-valve unit. When the charging unit is coupled to the sealing-valve unit three functions can be performed. The first is a priming function where the bottle is partially evacuated of its ambient air and replaced with a gas from a cartridge. The second is a charging function where the primed bottle is pressurized with the same gas type or mixture from the pressurized gas cartridge. The third is an evacuating function where the charged bottle can be bled of gas to achieve the approximate ambient condition of an unopened bottle. This function is used when a bottle is overcharged and a lower pressure is desired.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2012Date of Patent: February 2, 2016Inventor: Marc C. Striebinger
