  • Patent number: 11670267
Abstract: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for playing audio sounds, such as music, on a portable electronic device using a digital color image of a note matrix on a map. A computer vision engine, in an example implementation, includes a mapping module, a color detection module, and a music playback module. The camera captures a color image of the map, including a marker and a note matrix. Based on the color image, the computer vision engine detects a token color value associated with each field. Each token color value is associated with a sound sample from a specific musical instrument. A global state map is stored in memory, including the token color value and location of each field in the note matrix. The music playback module, for each column, in order, plays the notes associated with one or more the rows, using the corresponding sound sample, according to the global state map.

  • Patent number: 11663998
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer-readable storage medium that generate a harmonized musical piece. The method includes receiving a chord selection including a musical key and a scale selection, generating, within a digital audio work session, a chord progression sequence based on the received chord selection, in response to a detected chord selection change, modifying the chord progression sequence to include a chord progression corresponding to the chord selection change, setting the chord progression sequence as a master sequence, in response to detecting a second progression sequence within the digital audio work session, transmitting an identifier to the second progression sequence setting it as a slave sequence, and establishing a synchronized communication link between the master and the slave sequences such that changes made in the master sequence are automatically effectuated in the slave sequence, and combining the master sequence and the slave sequence to form a composed musical piece.

  • Patent number: 11663999
Abstract: A wireless communication device and a wireless communication method capable of curbing occurrence of latency even when performing wireless communication at predetermined time intervals are provided. MIDI data is transmitted and received by communication (B) performed through a wireless module during an intermission between communications (A) performed at predetermined time intervals through the wireless module. Accordingly, a communication speed for wireless communication is improved. Therefore, compared to a case in which wireless communication is performed by only the communication (A), MIDI data can be quickly transmitted and received, and thus occurrence of latency can be curbed.

  • Patent number: 11651758
Abstract: An electronic device segments a first and second MIDI files into pluralities of source segments and target segments. For each of a plurality of consecutive pairs of first and second target segments, the electronic device identifies a first source segment corresponding to the first target segment of the consecutive pair and identifies a second source segment corresponding to the second target segment of the consecutive pair, where the first and second source segments are identified by determining that the first and second source segments are harmonically conformant to the corresponding first and second target segments, and determining that a transition between the first and second source segments is graphically conformant to a transition between a consecutive pair of source segments. The electronic device generates a third MIDI file using the identified first and second source segments for each of the plurality of consecutive pairs of first and second target segments.

  • Patent number: 11646005
Abstract: According to an exemplary embodiment, a content control device for a content divided into multiple playback sections includes at least one memory storing executable instructions and a processor that implements the executable instructions to execute a plurality of tasks. The plurality of tasks include a selecting task, a first acquiring task and an outputting task. The selecting task selects a playback section among the multiple playback sections. The first acquiring task acquires a first operation value in response to an operation of a first operation unit. The outputting task that outputs a plurality of parameter values. The plurality of parameter values are used for varying the content in the selected playback section, corresponding to the acquired first operation value based on control data that defines a relationship between the first operation value and the plurality of parameter values.

  • Patent number: 11640815
Abstract: To generate a melody, one or more machine-readable constraints are accepted from a user through a user interface. The constraints include rhythm constraints and pitch constraints. A sequence of musical elements is generated based on the constraints, each of the musical elements specifying, in machine-readable data, a musical pitch or silence and a duration of the musical pitch or silence. The pitch constraints prescribe pitches in the sequence of musical elements and the rhythm constraints prescribe rhythm of the sequence of musical elements. The sequence of musical elements is rendered in human-perceivable form as a melody.

  • Patent number: 11610570
Abstract: An electronic percussion instrument and sound production control method thereof are provided. In an electronic cymbal, the output of a musical sound is controlled in accordance with the results of detection from a strike sensor when the strike sensor detects a strike on a striking surface. While the musical sound is output, if a user touches the striking surface, an electrostatic capacitance sensor outputs an output value in accordance with the contact condition so that the musical sound is attenuated in accordance with the output value while being output. Therefore, the user can attenuate the musical sound being output in accordance with the contact conditions on the striking surface, thereby silencing the musical sound by way of the action similar to that of the acoustic cymbal choke that is the action of touching the striking surface.
