  • Patent number: 7438308
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a wheeled luggage item with an ergonomic telescopic handle assembly. The ergonomic telescoping handle assembly of the present invention allows a user to use the luggage using just one hand. Furthermore, the ergonomic telescoping handle assembly shifts the weight of the bag onto the bag, rather than the user's arm, reducing strain on the user's arm, and it provides for a greater space between the user's heel and the bag, reducing the chance that the user will kick the bag while walking. Finally, the ergonomic telescoping handle assembly of the present invention is stored compactly within the luggage, maximizing the volume available within the luggage for storage of personal items.

  • Patent number: 7438300
Abstract: A hand truck for carrying and transporting an object comprises a frame having a base and a back arranged in a generally L-shaped configuration. The frame is supported by at least a pair of wheels for rolling over the ground. An object may be placed on the base for using the hand truck to move the object. A retainer has a loading position in which the retainer is sufficiently clear of the base to allow the object to be slid onto the base. After the object is slid onto the base, the retainer may be raised to a transport position in which the retainer at least partially encircles the object to hold the retainer on the base. The retainer may be releasably latched in the transport position.

  • Patent number: 7434818
Abstract: The “One-Hand Operation Conversion for Wheelbarrow Handles” added to a wheelbarrow, on one hand, offers single hand operability and maneuverability, and on the other hand offers added benefits to dual-handed users. The wheelbarrow can easily be converted from dual to single-handed operation and then back again with this said unit. This is completed by adding a centrally mounted handle to cross support(s) which are attached to the two longitudinally extending handles of the said wheelbarrow. When the center handle is attached, one-hand operation is achieved by the load balancing capabilities of the said handle and its mounting orientation. The center handle is formed into or mounted to the cross support(s) that are mounted to the existing longitudinal handles. The unit size dimensions and mounting method are arbitrary and will be made to fit the circumstances of mounting position and cross support material. The cross support(s) material and the handle material are of variable rigid form.

  • Patent number: 7434828
Abstract: Disclosed is a molded member with a foamed body, which is foamed on the top surface sides of a first member and a second member and is prevented from leaking from between abutment surfaces of those members toward the back side. A seal piece of a required width extending in an eaves form outward over the perimeter of the outer contour edge of an airbag door is provided at the outer contour edge. When the airbag door is laid out at a door mount portion, so formed as to surround an opening formed in a base material, the seal piece is set in close contact with the outer surface of the door mount portion in such a way as to surround the opening. This prevents the foamed body, foamed on the top surface side of the base material facing the airbag door, from leaking from a clearance, produced between abutment surface of the base material and the airbag door, toward the back side.

  • Patent number: 7434830
Abstract: An air-bag type rider restraining device for a two wheel vehicle having a scooter structure. A stay is firmly fixed by welding to a front portion of a head pipe. A connection member is fastened with two nuts onto the stay. An air bag supporting frame is connected and fixed to the connection member at its lower end so as to be directed rearwardly and obliquely upwardly along a handle pipe. The air bag supporting frame positions and fixes an air bag unit so as to be directed to a chest position of a rider above a center portion of a steering handle. A ring-like frame structure as an air bag holding member is disposed round a surface of the air bag unit facing the rider wherein a forward load applied to the air bag by holding the inflated air bag from behind is received by the ring-like frame structure.

  • Patent number: 7434838
Abstract: A system for automatically moving a stabilizer of a work vehicle is disclosed. A joystick is connected to an electronic controller, which in turn, is connected to valve drivers to drive stabilizer raising and lowering valves. In one mode of operation, the controller is programmed to move the stabilizers up or down at a rate that is proportional to the deflection of the joystick from a neutral position. If the operator holds the joystick in a certain position or range of positions, the controller enters a second mode in which it automatically raises the stabilizers even if the joystick is released. The stabilizer can be placed in a third mode of operation by moving the joystick rapidly back and forth. When the operator does this, the controller is configured to reduce the ramp rate or damping of its response to joystick movement.

  • Patent number: 7434641
Abstract: A control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle having a first drive unit, a second drive unit, a HV battery, a shift control element, a battery state detection element, and a shifting-time drive control element. Furthermore, in the control apparatus, a battery balance control element is formed by an engine control element, a first motor control element, a second motor control element and the shifting-time drive control element. If the shift control element determines there is a need for shifting carried out by a stepped transmission, the battery balance control element calculates the amount of increase/decrease in the amount of charge of the HV battery in accordance with the state of the HV battery, and changes the engine operation point on the basis of the calculated amount of increase/decrease in the battery charge, prior to the shifting.
