Patent number: 10086182Abstract: A steam therapy equipment including a vessel for heating a mixture of water and organic materials, a compressor to inject pressurized air into the vessel producing pressurized steam. The pressurized steam is conducted into the equipment via one or more valves. The therapy equipment is formed from at least one panel and may include a supporting frame. The therapy equipment includes a temperature sensor to measure the temperature inside the therapy equipment when pressurized steam is admitted via the valves. A patient enters the equipment and is exposed to the pressurized steam, causing dilation of the skin pores of the patient, whereby toxins are removed from the patient. One or more applicators may conduct pressurized steam to specific portions of the body of the patient. The patient may be provided with a portion of the mixture to consume as part of the steam therapy treatment.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2017Date of Patent: October 2, 2018Inventor: Basil C. Ogbu

Patent number: 10076645Abstract: A method of topically applying natural plant product for dissipation of human adipose tissue, comprising: (a) topically applying an inner portion of a natural plant product to an epidermal layer exterior to adipose tissue to be dissipated of a user's body for a period of time, upon which a percentage of the adipose tissue softens and dissolves, thus, reducing the adipose tissue of the user's body; (b) removing the topically applied inner portion of the natural plant product from the epidermal layer for another period of time; (c) repeating steps (a) and (b); and weight reduction apparatus comprising a topical applicator having a receiving container adapted to removably receive a natural plant product and having an opening or a porous wall adapted to facilitate pulp, juices, and/or extracts of the natural plant product to contact a user's epidermal layer exterior to the adipose tissue to be dissipated.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2014Date of Patent: September 18, 2018Inventor: Joseph Lichtenstein

Patent number: 10071128Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a granule or a pill containing a plant, medicinal herb or traditional oriental medicine decoction extract, comprising the steps of: (a) injecting a powdered plant, medicinal herb or traditional oriental medicine decoction extract into a fluidized-bed device and spraying purified water or a solution of the same type of extract as the extract powder at the extract powder while fluidizing the same, thereby generating microgranules of the extract powder; and (b) injecting the microgranules generated at step (a) as seeds into the fluidized-bed device and spraying a solution of the extract while fluidizing the same, thereby growing the microgranules to a predetermined size of granule or pill. According to the present invention, it is possible to prepare a granule or a pill containing an extract in a high concentration.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 2012Date of Patent: September 11, 2018Assignee: ARIBIO CO., LTD.Inventors: Chil Surk Yoon, Jai Jun Choung, Soo Hyun Sung

Patent number: 10034910Abstract: A novel grape seed extract is enriched in procyanidins, has total polyphenols of less than 70%, and has a low degree of polymerization (dp). Other fractions of the extract have minimal polyphenols, fiber, and protein, but contain more than 90% sugars. In some specific examples, the individual extracts are obtained by sequential ultrafiltration of a water extract of the grape seeds. A first ultrafiltration provides a first permeate (Fraction A) enriched in sugars which is useful as a flavorant, and a first retentate. The first retentate is reconstituted and subjected to a second ultrafiltration at a higher molecular weight cutoff to produce a second permeate (Fraction B) that is enriched in low molecular weight polyphenols, and a second retentate (Fraction C) that is enriched in seed fiber. The Fractions are individually suitable for different nutraceutical products, or can be combined with each other in any combination and/or with other nutraceutical agents to enhance vascular and cognitive health.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2015Date of Patent: July 31, 2018Assignee: SHAKLEE CORPORATIONInventors: Teodoro T.
