  • Patent number: 10420030
Abstract: A method for operating in a power save mode for a wireless local area network and a device using the same are provided. After waking up, a device receives a frame via a wireless medium to determine that the wireless medium is busy. If a decoding of the frame in a medium access control (MAC) layer is unsuccessful but a decoding of the frame in a physical layer is successful, the device determines an Interframe space (IFS) to defer an access of the wireless medium.

  • Patent number: 9992783
Abstract: A Device-to-device (D2D) user equipment (UE) device communicating with another D2D UE device within a first cell transmits a D2D subframe that includes a cell identifier a second cell when the UE device moves from the first cell to the second cell. After a handover to the second cell is initiated, the D2D UE device can suspend D2D communication. The D2D UE device transmits the D2D subframe, such as D2D discovery subframe, identifying the second cell when the handover is complete. The other D2D UE device identifies the second cell to the base station providing the first cell. The base stations providing the first cell and the second cell coordinate to determine resources for D2D communication between the D2D UE devices.

  • Patent number: 9980310
Abstract: A method of enhanced session management procedure is proposed. A user equipment, upon receiving a rejected PDN connectivity request with a cause code, automatically alters the rejected factor to fit network restrictions based on the received cause code. The UE then retries the PDN connectivity procedure by sending a subsequent PDN connectivity request using the altered factor. By automatically altering the rejected factor and reattempting to establish an EPS bearer for data service without user interaction, possible permanent rejection can be avoided in case of user error or unawareness.

  • Patent number: 9961000
Abstract: A method for estimation of a network path segment delay includes determining a scaled time stamp for each packet of a plurality of packets by scaling a time stamp for each respective packet to minimize a difference of at least one of a frequency and a frequency drift between a transport protocol clock of a host and a monitoring point. The time stamp for each packet is provided by the transport protocol clock of the host. A corrected time stamp for each packet is determined by removing from the scaled time stamp for each respective packet, a temporal offset between the transport protocol clock and the monitoring clock by minimizing a temporal delay variation of the plurality of packets traversing a segment between the host and the monitoring point.

  • Patent number: 9960997
Abstract: A method and system for interacting with data frames passing through a module connected to an industrial network is disclosed. Each module includes an aggregation unit located on the network interface above the physical layer. To transmit data, the aggregation unit reads a header from a dynamic data packet to determine if the module is a participant module for the packet. If so, the aggregation unit inserts data from the module into the data packet and transmits the packet to another module. To receive data, the aggregation unit reads a header from the data packet to determine whether the data packet includes data for the module. If so, the aggregation unit reads the data and passes the data packet to another module. If the aggregation unit determines that a data packet is not intended for the module, the data packet is passed to another module with no further interaction.
