  • Patent number: 7720763
Abstract: A supplemental financial transaction processing system operates in conjunction with one or more primary financial services systems for purposes of providing supplemental financial transaction processing services to users of the primary financial services system. The supplemental financial transaction processing system comprises a secure web services system and a supplemental transaction server. The secure web services system comprises at least one financial transaction method available to the primary financial services system. Upon receipt of a method call for a financial transaction, the supplemental financial transaction processing system: i) associates a unique redirect URL to the method call; and ii) returns the unique redirect URL to the primary financial services system. The primary financial services system may then pass the unique redirect URL through a secure connection with its client.

  • Patent number: 7716108
Abstract: An information technology services providing company manages a portfolio of software applications for a client company. A plurality of the applications are preselected along with a recommendation for each. The recommendations have value drivers with parameters. Values for the parameters are received from the client as responses to questions or through collaboration with the client. A business value is then determined for the value drivers using the parameter values. Total cash flow, return on investment, net present value, internal rate of return, or other financial measures may be calculated. The client decides to proceed with the recommendations and the services providing company delivers services and software according to the recommendations.

  • Patent number: 7698195
Abstract: Users of a simulator gain skills for investing using a simulator. The simulator simulates a business system that conducts a market transaction. The simulator selects a set of factors from a plurality of sets; selects a current factor from the selected set; and determines a price in accordance with the current factor. The simulator further updates a financial position of the user of the simulator in response to a transaction; and performs the transaction in accordance with the price and an input from the user. The input from the user corresponds in content to an input to the business system. Consequently, the user develops skill in specifying market transactions to be conducted by reviewing changes in the user's financial position. The simulator may include a simulated competitor having a financial position affected by transactions according to a strategy of the competitor selected from a set of stored strategies.

  • Patent number: 7689508
Abstract: Providing for a mobile communication device (MCD) credit account and credit transactions by way of such an MCD is described herein. As an example, a credit account sponsored by a financial or commercial entity can be associated with a unique ID of an MCD. The MCD can interface with another electronic device and initiate credit transactions, such as commercial purchases, credit transfers, currency conversions, and the like, via the interface. Further, rules provided by the sponsoring entity can guide such transactions, enforcing credit limits, for instance. A management component can then synchronize transactions conducted by the device with a server of a financial institution over a remote communication interface, such as the Internet or a cellular/mobile communication network. Accordingly, a mobile device can replace a traditional credit card in transacting credit business.

  • Patent number: 7644020
Abstract: The invention relates to both a method and a computer system that are designed to provide a bid positioning system using a computerized bid proxy. The bid proxy takes instructions from the bidder and then bids based upon these instructions. Using a bid positioning system allows this bidder to place its bids in relation to a lead bid placed by another bidder in an auction based upon either a nominal or percentage distance from the lead bid. In a preferred embodiment, this computerized bid proxy is used in a shipment management system. This system allows a shipper to present at least one shipping requirement for a particular shipment to a centralized server. These shipping requirements could include the origin and destination of a shipment, the time or delivery date of a shipment, the number of articles being shipped, and the weight or volume of the shipment.

  • Patent number: 7630927
Abstract: An anonymous and secure on-line payment system and method based on the partially blind signature cryptographic method with revocable anonymity. To this end, an Anonymity Server (SA) enables the Customer (C) to acquire on-line anonymous payment means on the basis of a protocol that does not enable the Anonymity Server to link the payment means to the Customer (C). The Payment Server (SdP) comprises means for opening an anonymous account using the anonymous payment means (50). A Customer (C) can make an on-line purchase from a Merchant Site (SM) without having to give a bank card number and remaining anonymous to the merchant and more generally to any entity present in the transaction or absent therefrom. However, this anonymity may be revoked by a trusted entity in the event of fraud on the Customer. Finally, a Customer can make payments when on the move.
