  • Patent number: 7284570
Abstract: Controlled flow of liquid is conducted between aligned inlet and outlet pipe sections through a valve housing within which a solid valve element is sealed and supported for electrically powered displacement between a fully open position establishing unrestricted flow and a fully closed position blocking inflow from the inlet pipe section and outflow from the outlet pipe section. The valve element is operatively displaced either by rotation or by linear movement under electrically powered control through a valve stem connected thereto, while a manual actuator is also connected to the valve stem outside of the valve housing for imparting reduced dithering displacement to the valve element so as to insure that it is in proper and readied working condition. Such electrically powered operational displacement of the valve element is sensed in response to movement of the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 7261276
Abstract: An apparatus such as a multiple orifice valve (MOV) for controlling a flow of pressurized fluid. A housing directs the flow from an inlet to an outlet and supports an interior stationary surface. A moveable surface selectively impedes the flow and is disposed in facing relation to the stationary surface to form a leakage path therebetween. A sealing member is disposed in a medial portion of the leakage path so that a leakage portion of the flow passing along said path compresses the sealing member against a shoulder portion of one of the surfaces to urge the sealing member across the path and form a mass seal. Preferably, the leakage path comprises a first portion in a first direction and a second portion in a different, second longitudinal direction, and the sealing member is compressed against the shoulder portion adjacent a junction between said first and second portions.

  • Patent number: 7258129
Abstract: A landscaping watering system has a probe for monitoring a moisture content of an area. A control unit is coupled to the probe for sending an activation signal to activate a flow of water when a signal from the probe indicates the moisture content of the area is below a predefined level. The control unit sends a deactivation signal to stop a flow of water when a signal from the probe indicates the moisture content of the area is above a predefined level. A water solenoid valve is coupled to a water line, the control unit and to at least one sprinkler. The water solenoid valve will receive the activation and deactivation signals from the control unit to start and stop a flow of water from the water line to the at least one sprinkler.

  • Patent number: 7182097
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of hydraulic directional control valves and refers to an anti-saturation directional control valve (V) composed of two or more sections in each of whom there is a pressure selector compensator with a six-way two-position spool (4) of the proportional type and a compensator (3) performing the function of pressure compensator. The pressure compensator (3) comprises therein a pressure signal selector (S), that is mechanically kept open or not by a piston (5) with a spring (M), of a negligible force, depending on workport pressures. The piston (5) presses against the pressure compensator (3) in the section (E) of the directional control valve (V) that is at a higher pressure, in this case operating as check valve, while in the sections at lower pressure the piston (5) is kept detached from the pressure compensator (3) so that this latter one performs its function of pressure compensator and the inner signal selector (S) by means of the sphere action.

  • Patent number: 7163027
Abstract: An air tap assembly includes a mounting seat, a gasket, a connecting member, and an end cap. Thus, the sealing portion of the first mounting cap of the connecting member is rested on the gasket to interrupt the connection between the vent holes of the first mounting cap of the connecting member and the passage of the mounting seat, thereby preventing the air contained in the air cushion from leaking outward from the air tap assembly, so that the air tap assembly has an anti-reverse effect to prevent the air from leaking outward from the air cushion, thereby facilitating a user inflating the air cushion.
