  • Patent number: 11459862
Abstract: Fluid is produced from a well that is equipped with a plunger lift system. The plunger lift system includes a plunger that is inserted into production tubing that is installed in the well. Liquid from a surrounding formation accumulates on top of the plunger. The liquid accumulation on the plunger is monitored. Lift gas is injected into the production tubing below the plunger to lift the plunger and accumulated liquid to surface. A wellhead assembly at surface directs the accumulated liquid away from the well, and injection of the lift gas is suspended to allow the plunger to drop back to its initial position. The timing of the lift gas injection is based on monitoring liquid accumulation, and also to maximize production from the well.

  • Patent number: 11454228
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a hand air pump handle assembly and a hand air pump, including a pressure gauge elastically attached thereto. The hand air pump handle assembly comprises a handle shell that defines an accommodating space for placement of the pressure gauge. The accommodating space is provided with an air vent for connecting the accommodating space to an inflatable body, such as an inflatable mattress. The pressure gauge measures an internal air pressure for the inflatable body via the air vent and is connected to the handle shell with an elastic connector. The elastic connector can elastically deform to prevent the pressure gauge from being damaged or broken under external forces such as an impact.

  • Patent number: 11434902
Abstract: A diaphragm pump having a crankshaft that is rotatable about a rotational axis and coupled to a piston. The piston is reciprocally displaceable within a piston cylinder along an axis of motion between suction and discharge strokes. A diaphragm housing coupled to the piston cylinder at least partially defines a pumping chamber through which fluid is pumped as the piston reciprocates. The axis of motion, which intersects a connection between the piston and the connecting rod, may not intersect the rotational axis of the crankshaft such that, relative to an arrangement in which the axis of motion does intersect the rotational axis, a peak magnitude of piston side load forces during the discharge stroke is reduced and a peak magnitude of piston side load forces during the suction stroke is increased so as to attain an improved balance between the peak magnitudes of piston side load forces of the discharge and suction strokes.

  • Patent number: 11428220
Abstract: The frame-supported pump is assembled without the use of tools. In place of bolts or threaded connections, an external frame provides the support necessary to resist the internal pressure of the pump. Upper and lower pump housings include grooves that slide into a slotted support or frameā€”a slip-in mount. In alternative embodiments the grooves are replaced with holes that slide over rods, or other means of external support prevent the pump housings from moving away from each other during pumping. A pin is optionally used to prevent the housings from sliding out of the frame, or friction is sufficient. When the pumps are in service, the internal pressure attempts to push the housings away from each other, but this force is passed to the frame, which responds with a matching force, keeping the housings in place.

  • Patent number: 11378067
Abstract: A pump adapted for use in desalination systems that has four cylinders, with a double acting piston in each cylinder. Each cylinder and piston thereby defines a feed chamber and a recovery chamber. The pistons are connected to a common drive. The connection to the common drive is such that the pistons reciprocate in a sequence equally spaced in time. Reciprocating valving for each piston is driven by the common drive to be 90 degrees out of phase with the respective piston. The valving connects the recovery chamber alternately to an inlet manifold for an intake stroke of the piston relative to the recovery chamber, and to an outlet manifold for a discharge stroke of the piston relative to the recovery chamber. There is a brief period of closure coinciding with top dead centre and bottom dead centre of the piston, during which the recovery chamber is blocked off from both the inlet and outlet manifolds.
