Abstract: A belly band that is configured to be worn by, and secured around a waist of, a person is disclosed. The belly band is particularly configured to carry and conceal a firearm around the person's waist. The belly band includes a flexible band that secures the belly band to a person's waist. The belly band further includes a pocket this is integrally formed with or connected to the front side, with the pocket being configured to receive and hold a rigid firearm holster. In addition, the pocket of the belly band includes a top edge that is structurally reinforced (to assist in holding and stabilizing the rigid firearm holster and, particularly, to receive the clips of such holsters that are normally secured to traditional belts). Still further, the belly band includes an attachment means that is configured to reversibly connect the belly band to a person's waist.

Abstract: A safety and retention device is provided for a weapon. The device has a first section that operates as a trigger guard cover or shield and is adapted to fit closely and specifically on the trigger guard of the weapon. The second section of the device operates as a retention clip that is designed to maintain or hold the holster (and weapon) on an item of clothing worn by a user. The first section and the second section can be integrally formed such that the first section and the second section share a common base.

Abstract: An adapter system for attaching panniers or containers to luggage carriers, in particular for attaching panniers or containers to the top of a luggage carrier, has releasable fixing elements for engaging between respective structs and respective struts of the luggage carrier. The positions of the fixing elements is adjustable and are arrangeable on respective struts and/or cross members or plates or frames of the adapter system, wherein at least one strut and/or cross member and/or plate is designed with a plurality of retaining elements protruding from its surface facing the luggage carrier.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a concealed holster apparatus configured to be secured about the torso and to be anchored to an undergarment such as a bra. The holster comprises a molded plastic housing shaped to accommodate a belt strap which wraps around the torso, and which has a second strap affixed to an exterior surface allowing it to be wrapped around and under the strap or gore of an undergarment, securing it in place firmly. The housing is oriented such that the opening, and thus any firearm or other object held therein, is held horizontally, reducing the risk of it falling out or being difficult to remove.

Abstract: A firearm retention mechanism is provided for a holster. The device comprises first and second arms that each have a first end and a second end, outwardly extending retention elements and trigger guard stops, and a fastener which connects the first and second arms so that they define an open top, with the retention elements and trigger guard stops facing one another, the trigger guard stops located below the retention elements. The arms are connected to sides of the holster with the open top facing upwardly to receive a trigger guard of the firearm, which is then pressed between the retention elements.

Abstract: A roof rail and an apparatus for attaching the roof rail to the roof of a vehicle are provided. The roof rail is elongated and includes a bottom portion for engaging the outer surface of the roof. The roof rail also includes inboard and outboard side portions extending between the bottom portion and a top portion. An access hole is provided in the roof rail on an inboard side portion or at a location that is lower than an uppermost point of the roof rail for providing access to a fastener such as a roof stud or bolt attaching the roof rail to the roof. The access hole is blocked from view from a laterally outer side of the roof rail.

Abstract: A chest pack holster can include a pocket designed to receive at least part of a handgun body of a handgun. The chest pack holster can include strap fasteners that are designed to fasten the chest pack holster to securing straps of a chest pack (such as side straps and/or shoulder straps). At least part of the chest pack holster can be positioned between a pack body of the chest pack and a wearer of the chest pack. The securing straps of the chest pack can be designed to extend around a torso of the wearer of the chest pack to assist in securing the chest pack to the wearer of the chest pack.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing a shoulder strap of a backpack to a bicycle luggage rack includes a first capture member and a second capture member opposite and facing the first capture member with each having an elongate, linear configuration and having opposed ends. Respective ends of the capture members may be selectively coupled together with a pair of fasteners and selectively loosened or tightened such that the capture members are displaced from one another at the loosened configuration and are compressed toward one another at the tightened configuration so as to sandwich the backpack strap therebetween. An attachment portion, such as a clip, is attached to a backside of the first capture member and configured to removably attach to a bicycle luggage rack.

Abstract: An article of clothing comprises a waistband configured to secure and carry at least one object on a wearer's waist. The waistband includes a first portion configured to form a circumferential waist part of the article of clothing and include at least a first channel and a second channel, the first channel having an elastic band therethrough, and the second channel having drawstrings therethrough. The waistband also includes a second portion configured to include a plurality of belt loops evenly spaced and positioned along the first portion of the waistband, wherein the plurality of belt loops are configured to receive a belt assembly therethrough.

Abstract: An attachment system incorporating a platform having an outwardly facing side, an opposite back side, the platform comprising laminated layers including at least one fabric layer comprising a polyethylene or para-aramid fabric, the platform having a plurality of slits therethrough defined and bound by edges of the layers fused together to have increased stiffness, wear and abrasion resistance. The slits are arranged in a predetermined pattern of aligned and spaced apart rows, the slits being configured to receive straps therethrough between the outwardly facing side and the back side to attach at least one holder to the outwardly facing side, and the platform being supported by and comprising an element of a carrier to be carried on a user's body.

Abstract: A vehicle cargo management system includes, among other things, an outer member of a cargo retention frame and an inner member of the cargo retention frame. The inner member is at least partially received within the outer member. A locking device is transitionable back and forth between a locked position and an unlocked position. The outer and inner members are slideable relative to each other when the locking device is in the locked position. The outer and inner members are fixed relative to each other when the locking device is in the unlocked position.

Abstract: A sporting equipment carrier for mounting onto a bicycle, the carrier being able to be customized as needed to a variety of different sporting equipment despite the wildly disparate sizes and shapes of different types of equipment for different sports. A core support which attaches to the seat post of the bicycle by means of a clamp, and has members so it projects backward away from the seat over the rear wheel of the bicycle. One or more mating arms and diverse attachment points allow the connection of equipment holders on one or more sides of the rear wheel. The holders are for different types of sporting equipment: skis, snow boards, surf boards, skates, skate boards, baskets for smaller items having apertures through the sides for long smaller items, etc. The equipment holders may be easily removed and replaced with another holder.

Abstract: A cargo rack for a utility task vehicle that includes a cargo bed that is fastenable to a bed of a utility task vehicle and side supports that are fastenable both to the cargo bed of the cargo rack and to the utility task vehicle. The cargo rack has an up position and a down position when fastened to the bed of the utility task vehicle. The side supports are fastened to the cargo bed and to the utility task vehicle when the cargo rack is in the up position, but the cargo bed is fastened to the bed of the utility task vehicle without the side supports when the cargo rack is in the down position.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided to attach an electronic device, such as a printer, to a vehicle headrest of a vehicle seat. The apparatus includes one or more attachment members configured to attach to a vehicle headrest mounting rod; a support structure attached to the one or more attachment members, the support structure extending outward from the one or more attachment members toward an edge of the vehicle headrest; and a back plate attached to the support structure, the back plate configured to hold the electronic device, wherein at least a portion of the electronic device is accessible from the vehicle seat.

Abstract: A protective and/or ornamental case for a foldable handheld electronic device. The case includes a front shell and a back shell pivotally connected to a hinge cover by one or more coupling mechanisms. A first portion of an electronic device is inserted into the front shell and a second portion of the electronic device is inserted into the back shell. The coupling mechanisms retain the front and back shells operatively engaged with the hinge cover as the electronic device housed in the case is pivotally or hingedly opened and closed, help prevent unintended opening or closing of the device, and keep the device open or closed when so positioned by a user.

Abstract: A holster assembly includes a holster having an interior shaped to receive a handgun, and an entrance. An ejection port restraint pivotally connected to the holster includes a latch and is biased toward an obstruction position for engaging the latch with the ejection port of the handgun. A hood restraint pivotally connected to the holster body adjacent the entrance is configured to pivot between a non-obstruction position to permit the handgun to enter and to be drawn, and an obstruction position at which the hood restraint at least partially blocks the entrance. The hood restraint is biased toward the non-obstruction position. A release device mounted on the holster body is configured to actuate both the ejection port restraint and the hood restraint, each toward the respective non-obstruction position thereof, in response to a single movement by a user to allow the handgun to be withdrawn from the holster.

Abstract: Holsters suitable for securely retaining an item, such as a handgun, to an individual that enables removal of the item with a single hand when the individual is in a sitting position. Such a holster includes at least first and second holster subcomponents that have at least first and second partial cavities, respectively. The first and second holster subcomponents are assemblable to align the first and second partial cavities to define a pocket that is configured so that the first and second holster subcomponents are interlocked together to define the holster when an item is placed in the pocket and the first and second holster subcomponents are simultaneously released from each other in response to the item being removed from the pocket.

Abstract: A bicycle rack is described with a retention arm for securing a wheel of the bicycle to the bicycle rack. The retention arm is provided with a tire chock for contacting the tire of the bicycle. An adjustable tire chock may be positioned on the retention arm to secure different sizes of bicycles with different sizes of wheels on the bicycle rack. The adjustable tire chock may have latching components that can be released by a user with a single hand by applying opposing or rotational forces to the latch components or the tire chock. The latch components may be provided with a biasing mechanism to urge them into a latch or engaged position when aligned with latching features on the retention arm.

Abstract: A method for protecting a rifle and stabilizing the rifle when shooting is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes providing a strap and connecting a first end of the strap to a backpack. A second end of the strap is connected to a rifle. A length of the strap is adjusted such that when a user pulls the rifle over the shoulder from the backpack and holds the rifle in a shooting position, the strap slides over the user's shoulder from the backpack to the rifle and reduces a weight of the rifle in the user's arms when the rifle is held in the shooting position. In certain embodiments, the length of the strap is adjusted to maintain the rifle substantially level when in the shooting position.
