Abstract: A plunger assembly for a cartridge for dispensing dental material. The plunger assembly has a receptacle, an activator, and a passageway extending through the receptacle along a longitudinal axis. The passageway forms a chamber for storing at least a component of the dental material and has an outlet for the chamber. The activator has a piston for extruding the component from the chamber and a plug for the outlet. The activator is movable to unplug the outlet and to subsequently extrude the component in a single stroke. The plunger assembly helps for reliably emptying the chamber and helps facilitating dispensation of dental materials.

Abstract: A placement jig for locating a dental implant analog in a physical model of a patient's mouth includes a base, a guide-strut receiving feature, a throughbore, and an angled receiving feature. The guide-strut receiving feature is positioned within the base and is configured to receive a guide-strut of the physical model thereby positioning a lower surface of the placement jig at a desired distance from an opening of a bore in the physical model. The throughbore receives a screw therethrough that engages the dental implant analog such that the dental implant analog is removably coupled to the base. The angled receiving feature is positioned about the throughbore on the lower surface of the base. The angled receiving feature includes a mating surface that is configured to abut a custom abutment positioned between the mating surface and the dental implant analog.

Abstract: A hair extension attachment apparatus for removably securing a hair extension to the user's hair. The hair extension attachment apparatus includes an elongated strip that is composed of a flexible material so that it can contour to the shape of the user's head. The front surface of the elongated strip includes one or more clamps thereon for securement to the user's hair. Each clamp includes a comb member and a closure member, wherein the closure member can be pivotally opened and closed in order to secure hair therein. The front surface further includes one or more hooks thereon for removably securing a hair extension to the elongated strip. The user can removably secure the hair extension within the hooks on the strip, and the strip is concealed by the hair extensions when applied to the user's hair.
Abstract: Described is a method for applying an eyelash extension strip. The method comprises several acts, such as applying a first eyelash extension strip to a user such that a portion of the first eyelash extension strip is on top of at least one of the user's natural lashes. The first eyelash extension strip is then weaved underneath at least one of the user's natural lashes and then woven back on top of the user's natural lashes. In another aspect, the first eyelash extension strip is adhered to at least one of the user's eyelid and natural lashes. Additionally, a second eyelash extension strip can be adhered on top of the first eyelash extension strip.
Abstract: An orthodontic appliance has a post attached to a first upper tooth, and a button with a recess attached to a second upper tooth. An elongated arm has an eye at one end through which the post is inserted to allow the elongated arm to rotate about the post, and a tip at the other end for removable insertion into the recess of the button. The length of the elongated arm is selectable to maintain a desired spacing between the first and second upper teeth (e.g., by cutting the tip of the elongated arm). An elastic extends from either the post or button to an attachment point on the patient's lower dental arch to exert a force between the patient's maxilla and mandible.
Abstract: An implant includes first thermoplastic material portions, and second thermoplastic material portions liquefiable by mechanical vibrations and being in contact with the first thermoplastic material portions, wherein the second thermoplastic material portions preferably constitute at least a part of a surface of the implant, and wherein the first thermoplastic material portions have a glass transition temperature above an implantation temperature (about 20° C. to 40° C.), and wherein the second thermoplastic material portions either have a glass transition temperature below the implantation temperature or are able to transform non-mechanical energy into heat.

Abstract: A dental appliance for positioning a patient's teeth includes a removable orthodontic tooth positioning appliance having teeth receiving cavities shaped to directly receive at least some of the patient's teeth and apply a resilient positioning force to the patient's teeth. Bone graft material is introduced into the space created between the respective membrane and the respective cavity floor via a distal portion of the dental implant to form a desired sinus augmentation.

Abstract: A method for planning a root canal treatment of a tooth which includes a cavity of a patient. The method includes measuring a surface of the cavity with an optical three-dimensional method to generate three-dimensional measurement data of the cavity. A 3D-model of a guide template is planned based on the generated three-dimensional measurement data. The 3-D model is designed in its dimensions as a counterpart to the cavity. Three-dimensional volume data of the tooth is displayed. A position and an orientation of a root canal of the tooth is determined based on the three-dimensional volume data of the tooth. A guide opening for a tool is planned to expose the root canal. The guide opening is arranged within the guide template so that the guide opening points at an entry point of the root canal and in an entry direction of the root canal.

Abstract: A tooth bracket extraction device which comprises a motor housed within a motor housing, and a motor shaft extending from the motor. A gear cover is fastened to the motor housing, and a first shaft is coupled to the motor shaft, where the first shaft receives the drive from the motor via the motor shaft. A first gear is attached to the first shaft, and a second shaft comprises a second gear, where the second shaft is in communication with the first shaft via engagement of the second gear to the first gear. A torque generated from the motor is transferred to the second shaft, and the second shaft comprises a head receiver member which is configured to receive and mount a plurality of heads. Each head is configured to transfer the torque to a bracket section attached to teeth, thereby removing the bracket section from the teeth.
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing an orthodontic retainer with which there are no aesthetic concerns and smooth pronunciation during conversation is possible, and which is able to secure favorable fitting and can be worn for long periods. The retainer is configured so that, by being fitted so as to surround the entire dental arch (T) of the maxilla (A) or the mandible and by the inner surface being fitted, on the front and back surfaces of the entire dental arch (T), with a specified vertical width (H) that encompasses the cervical sections (T1, T2) of said teeth, a retaining force is applied on a portion of the crown (T3) of each tooth from the front and back surfaces.
