  • Patent number: 10917634
Abstract: A wearable device may include a head-mounted display (HMD) for rendering a three-dimensional (3D) virtual object which appears to be located in an ambient environment of a user of the display. The relative positions of the HMD and one or more eyes of the user may not be in desired positions to receive, or register, image information outputted by the HMD. For example, the HMD-to-eye alignment vary for different users and may change over time (e.g., as a given user moves around or as the HMD slips or otherwise becomes displaced). The wearable device may determine a relative position or alignment between the HMD and the user's eyes. Based on the relative positions, the wearable device may determine if it is properly fitted to the user, may provide feedback on the quality of the fit to the user, and may take actions to reduce or minimize effects of any misalignment.

  • Patent number: 10866778
Abstract: Systems and methods for cross device display synchronization using state data. A second identifier uniquely identifying a second device that is represented on a second display of a second device is obtained at a first device with a first display and a first identifier uniquely identifying the first device. An association is created between the first identifier and the second identifier at a real-time database. User interface (UI) state data defining a first UI state of a UI presented on the first display is submitted from the first device to the real-time database via a first network thereby creating replica UI state data on the real-time database. The real-time database pushes the UI state data to the second device via a second network based on the association between the first identifier and the second identifier thereby causing the second device to synchronize a corresponding UI presented on the second display.

  • Patent number: 10782818
Abstract: A force input sensor includes a load cell to adapt a compressive force applied to the force input sensor into a strain experienced by a strain sensor in the load cell. In particular, the load cell includes two compression plates separated from one another by a gap so as to define a volume between them. A flexible substrate (a “diaphragm”)—includes a strain sensor and is disposed and supported within the volume. One of the two compression plates includes a feature (a “loading feature”) that extends toward a central region of the flexible substrate. As a result of this construction, when the compression plates receive a compressive force, the loading feature induces a bending moment in the flexible substrate, thereby straining the strain sensor.
