A target video segmentation is transmitted to a piece of user equipment relatively quickly, so that caching efficiency of a caching device can be improved, and a processing burden of the caching device can be reduced. The method includes: receiving, by a gateway device, a target URL sent by a second user equipment, and determining, from a caching device, a second video corresponding to the target URL; determining a segmentation part of the target URL according to the segmentation part extraction model; and determining a target video segmentation from the second video according to the segmentation part of the target URL, and sending the target video segmentation to the second user equipment.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for increasing media consumption. The present invention can provide viewers increased access to content of interest across various platforms, such as online articles, online audio and video clips, and television and radio broadcasts. In an embodiment, an individual viewing content online, such as a news article, is given a link. The link provides the viewer access to a list of content related to the article being viewed. The related content is not limited to the platform related content across, and allows the user to view the content, automatically set the content to be recorded by a digital video recorder, or reserve the content for future viewing. By providing the user with convenient access to content across platforms, they are more given media content of interest. Accordingly, viewership of this content will increase through this connection of individuals with content that aligns with their interests.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing a subscription to a plurality of content providers and the irretrievably referring users to an interface of the content provider to directly consume media programs provided by the content providers is disclosed. The method irretrievably passes users to content providers so that the user can view media programs from those content providers using the content provider's application, while providing a central source for users to locate media programs available from a plurality of content providers and to subscribe for access to such media programs. This construct permits content providers to retain control over the user viewing experience and to encourage the user to view further media programs from the same content provider.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for enhancing a live video stream. For example, a communications system improves live video streams for a content producer broadcasting a live video stream as well as other users viewing the live video stream. In particular, the communications system employs themed experiences that guide the content producer through the process of creating and sharing a quality customized live video stream. In addition, the communications system provides one or more digital enhancements to a live video stream based on engagement signals (e.g., reactions) from viewers of the live video stream.

The sound signal capturing devices capture a plurality of sound signals. The image capturing device obtains a display image. The controller is configured to: divide the display image into a plurality of display regions; establish a correspondence between the disposition positions and relative positions of the display regions; receive a playback setting command of a selected region, and set a playing weight of each of the display regions according to the playback setting command; and adjust a volume playback setting corresponding to the sound signals according to the playing weight of each of the display regions and the correspondence, and generate an output sound signal according to the volume playback setting and the sound signals. The speaker performs a sound playing action.

The method comprises receiving, by a processing device, a request for a video advertisement associated with a client device coupled to a network. The request comprises playback attributes of the client device. A video ad-serving template (VAST) data structure is generated for the video advertisement based on the request. An ad content item is identified based on the VAST data structure. The ad content item comprises information characterizing the video advertisement that includes a rich media, mezzanine and interactive components. The ad content item is transcoded into a plurality of transport streaming items comprising a representation of the video advertisement in context with the playback attributes associated with the request and the VAST data structure.

Abstract: A method and device for controlling the rendering of digital content that is progressively downloaded on a content server in a wide-area communication network. The content can be accessed via at least one service gateway, and can be downloaded in order to be rendered on at least one rendering device that can communicate with the service gateway and that is equipped with a native remote control device. Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that can include iconization and later play of video content items, such as advertisements. During presentation of an online video, video advertisements may be presented. Upon user selection, during or after presentation of a particular video advertisement, the advertisement may cease to be presented, but an icon may be displayed that represents the video advertisement. The icon may be displayed in an area adjacent to the online video display area, which area may include multiple icons. Later, upon user selection of the icon, the video advertisement may be played, or may continue playing, utilizing local storage of the video advertisement. This, in turn, may provide, for example, efficient, convenient user access to the video advertisement, leading to enhanced advertisement performance with minimal intrusive impact on the user experience as a whole.

A plurality of preview clips corresponding to the plurality of scheduled content instances may be accessed. The plurality of preview clips may be assembled to create the customized preview video.
